Hello, I am curious if there are adaptors compatible SGS2 with microphone, so I can easily attach other headphones in to make it similar to a handsfree.

hey all sifus,
sorry for a noob question. i just wanna share my problems with my 1 month Samsung Galaxy S2, first of all, it keep restart (or perhaps crashing?) when i open some of the application (usually, games and some of the heavy apps). secondly yesterday, after i woke up at 3 pm, my battery life came down from 92% (i had charge it last night) to 35%?? what the? i try to find out what cause the battery drain so much and i found out the ANDROID OS used up about 92% of my battery power? (i used battery indicator in this cases) , but how the android OS drain up so much afterall im sleeping at 4am until 2pm? it just 8hours duhhh. how can possible this problem occur sifus? hope for your guidance. notworthy.gif

and usually after i woke up from sleep my battery will be from 90++ percentage to 80++ something.. just wondering fi it is the battery problem? hmm.gif

I think the battery ain't "fully" charged that night, 100% doesn't mean full...need to wait until they notify u (I think S2 also same cuz my ace is like this)

disabled a network data packet and only allow WIFI connection for

If u turn off your packet data and data roaming, it wont use 3G unless u enabled some special settings for auto turn on or whatever. If your wifi disconnected, it will just stop downloading unless as stated above smile.gif

Thank you. I really appreciate your answer, friend... I was spending shit tremendous amount of time
surfing through the web and found no answer. All about disable only without "auto reconnect" if
WIFI network disabled. Too dangerous for me if its involving auto-reconnect. Huhu!! smile.gif Suck up my
money. Thanks again, friend.

Why not head to the galaxy s2 official thread here to see whether this is a common problem or not? smile.gif

Depends on the method of rooting.

If its the one-click-root solutions, you won't lose anything, as you are essentially just adding root on top of whatever you had.

If your phone's rooting requires flashing a ROM etc etc to do so, then yes, it will wipe everything. But you can backup and sync your contacts via your google account.

this depends on the game/app developer, if it is a prominent one like rovio should be pretty fast and in fact, if the game/app was developed properly - it should work with the new OS (ICS) out of the box without any modifications. there's no way we can give you (or anyone else) a timeline - its entirely up to the developer. What you are asking is no different than when microsoft releases a new OS and asking us when the apps can be made compatible by the developers - nobody knows. The OS isn't the problem, the developers need to ensure their apps are up to date and compatible with the new platform - its not Google's job to "make" all apps compatible with the OS. hope this is clear.

you would get a better or faster response if you ask in the galaxy S II threads. this thread should be used for general questions only, for phone specific please kindly refer to the relevant threads. thx.

try google for "MyPhoneExplorer", should be the app you're looking for.

check and make sure wifi and/or bluetooth isnt running while you sleep and also some apps/games do periodic sync in background, this might be eating up your battery too - check the settings / sync section to disable some of the sync options and see if your battery life improves.
