ok, got 1 more problem here., I think its a bug. I tried a few sms software, chomp sms, go pro sms, handsent sms. But the problem is, the sms notification still pops out on the lock screen. Everytime i slide to read the sms, it seems its the prevous sms, The phone can't detect that the new sms has already been read. Anyone has this problem on 3rd party sms software?

i guess the original sms notification is still there, try to disable the notification in the stock sms / messaging app and see if that helps

Got a few questions here:

1) I get occasional lag in my browser. Funny thing is that, it's ONLY triggered when let's say transition between windows there's some pauses...then everything becomes laggy... Or let's say an image loading suddenly stutters...then it's all lagg. Nothing with my ram usage at all or my CPU speed..

2) How to eliminate the annoying chequered box in the stock web browser?

SGS II G stock rom user here

this is up to you, if sony is confirm going to release theirs then just wait since officially rooting and installing a custom rom voids your warranty (although you could technically unroot, etc)..

battery drains can be tricky to identify but generally they are due to these few possible reasons:

- you have widget(s) that refresh every x minutes or hours - this may drain your battery
- your sync settings may affect your battery life a bit. if you want better battery life you can uncheck all the sync options on your settings / accounts & sync section and manually update them when needed
- you have packet data/2g/3g data turned on or you're not in 2g mode (meaning you're on 3g mode) - this drains battery too
- you have wifi/bluetooth turned on
- you have some background services/games that are still running that may eat up battery, check by going to your settings section to check the running services and terminate the ones that you feel are not necessary

those are some of the possible reasons although they may/may not be the exact cause, you have to dig and find out.

should be able to, i did this long time ago but i think i had some issues with apps in the SD, so I had to reinstall apps that i moved to SD. what you can do is backup your apps using some free data backup app like mybackup (which backs up the apps) - then restore them if there's any issues. you may have to do some trial and error but the only potential problem is the apps itself, the other data such as game SD data (those large 100-500mb data files) should be fine. your savegame / app preferences data should still be in your internal phone memory if i recalled correctly. but in any case just be prepared for the worst.

alternatively you can move those apps to your internal phone memory first before swapping out to preserve as many of the apps as you can (those that you prefer) then when you get the memory card, move the app back to the sdcard which goes to the new card. problem solved. good luck smile.gif

why would you think it would drain more battery than normal? the animations probably would eat up a bit of juice but that's about it..the overall launcher shouldn't drain an extensively significant amount of battery compared to the stock launcher on your phone.
