Today at The Gardens's HSBC booth (direct from bank) says that their HSBC Platinum card has zero annual fee and zero GST for lifetime.
Can they be trusted ??? This post has been edited by ronnie: Mar 19 2011, 07:23 PM |

QUOTE(milentechie @ Mar 22 2011, 07:24 AM) Not unless you want to increase your CL. Why complicate the process? Just follow the instructions for support documents for existing CC holder. Same here... ask me to spruce up my car with the cheque. This is the 3rd time a cheque was sent to me... Added on March 22, 2011, 7:45 am Just received a cheque from MBB by post yesterday. I didn't request for it. 0% interest for 6 months but come with handling fee. Better shred just in case accidentally banked in to your account |

QUOTE(milentechie @ Mar 22 2011, 09:59 AM) I have shredded the cheque. If I am not mistaken, it is around RM70++. I used to receive cheques from MBB 2-3 times a year. Probably, I didn't spend enough with the CC. It's their tactic to entice me to spend more. The handling fee must be higher than 12-mth FD rate lah... else MBB will lose money, right ?Fee of RM70 for RM2000 = 3.5% interest. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 23 2011, 11:35 AM) When going overseas, do you guys call the CS and inform that you will be using your cc at which country and during which period? i have been practising this, but i wonder if it a common practice and necessary? Definitely a Credit Card BEST practice to avoid un-necessary problems. This post has been edited by ronnie: Mar 23 2011, 01:39 PM |

QUOTE(pocketcctv @ Mar 29 2011, 02:04 PM) A quick question over here on my HLB Gold Card. To my surprise after checking on a few months transaction statement, it seems that they have been charging me an amount of RM4x.xx for 'Retail Interest'. Do you pay your CC statement in full every month ? Amount paid = Statement Balance ?Does it actually reflect the usage of swiping my CC over the retail counter ? If its yes, I wonder how come the shop tenant mentioned that there are no extra charges for swiping my CC. Please correct me if I'm wrong. This "RETAIL INTEREST" would be Finance charges for outstanding balance. |
