Good info ronnie  rclxms.gif  Never thought of this trick.

That lead me to thinking if I can also max up my monthly cap on weekend 5% for MBB2amex and OCBC Ti ?

But the Jusco staff will be wondering what are you trying to do... brows.gif

Yep was about to mention it.

Though I guess there's nothing to stop you from buying it in 12 separate days if you're really committed  biggrin.gif
*
But you may not get the full RM120 cash back for that tracking month... RM500,000 (About 4,166 CC members)

another good service by MBB.

i did cancel my CC last year in August, before anniversary to avoid the GST. before cancel, claim all point.

in Jan, i want to do BT as MBB give 0% for 12mth. then, i call CS & they said just apply for reinstatement & my acc will go live again. new card will be sent as i cut the previous card. rm50 will be charge for reinstate. ask about GST, CS said will be charge on the 1st bill.

now, c my statement in m2u. no reinstate charge & no GST. BT successfully done. hoho.. lucky me. hope next month also no charges for both.

another loop hole to avoid GST?!
*
August 2010 to Jan 2011 can still re-instate the account ??? Same CC number ?
Report back in afew months if the fees are charged (MBB is known to charge late for fees)

biggrin.gif Who tell you the GST must charge on first month.............?

Myfirst MBB's statement also exclude the GST, but i believe it will apply in future month
*
Most bank charges the GST the moment the card is approved. Just MBB is slower as usual rclxms.gif Good for consumers

the public bank new promotion isn't attractive at all, meh
*
It's individual preference.
For me, PBB's CashBack is :-
1. tied down to use 8X swipes (8% cashback) or 12X swipes (12% cashback)
2. Limited to RM500,000 per tracking month
3. I won't apply PBB just for this.
4. PBB Esso card not included in this Cash-back promotion

Oh ya, of course, there's exception.
For example, purchases made in Giant (Atria mall) and Carrefour (TropicanaMall) get 1% cashback instead of 5%.
As I said, stand-alone hypermarkets won't be wrong. nod.gif

Are you an existing SCB credit cardholder before applying the Biz Visa? How come you can still get the cash back?
If like that, I also want to apply for it.

Unlimited free IBG sounds good to me.
Does HSBC Premier and Advance pays good interest ? or any other banks offer unlimited free IBG with reasonable  good deposit rate ?

Read this topic: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...35&hl=interbank
Personally, I opened a OCBC iQ Basic account which provides 5 FREE IBG transactions per month
Maintain account balance of RM500 per month to avoid RM10 monthly charge.
