Different company diff pricing policy. Why I bought xoom? Bcoz cheaper than singapore. Warranty? I dunno whether xoom is international warranty like I pad.
why I don't want to wait Asus? Bcoz I don't like overlay UI.

so far only Galaxy Tab, Flyer, Iconia and Thinkpad are using custom UI...

the rest re all vanilla Android...

and no, i doubt u can ve int'l warranty, as per standard policy of a phone maker...

well, as laptopmag has pointed out, with Transformer at such price, any tab that's more costly than it will need to justify the extra cost...

like the case of iPad2, it's US$100/rm300 more expensive, so wat's with the extra money?
*
Performance of their new chip I guess. Much more powerful than the Tegra 2 apparently. Also, the unibody shell is more expensive to fabricate as usual.

The pricing came from SoyaCincau.com which says that MacStudio allow you to preorder the iPad2 at iPad pricing and pay the remainder if it is more expensive.

Nah.. Well.. Ipad2 reso is only 1024x768 while tablets support 1280x800 edi.. tegra 2 benchmark is lower than Apple A5 chip but I think its due to the different resolution involved.

Both camera's are VGA quality! biggrin.gif

But even if the resolution is in play, the A5 chips are more powerful in terms of graphical power.

that's y there are others like Samsung Exynos and TI OMAP 4 series with PowerVR, and Qualcomm Snapdragon with Adreno as well...

also dun forget Tegra 2 is a very old architecture (in terms of computer hardware), >1 yr since first production... if A5 dun perform better than it sth's really wrong...

both Xoom and iPad...

so far the only tab with int'l warranty is Transformer iirc... as per standard Asus Eee warranty policy...

if u look closely, WiFi version for US$599, that's basically the same as iPad2 32GB WiFi...

but pricing at the same lvl is not helpful at convincing ppl to switch, especially when there's the "Apple effect"

Eee Pad Transformer review from Anandtech!

Link: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4277/asus-ee...nsformer-review

Quote:

ASUS delivered three things with the Eee Pad: a very competitive price point ($399), a surprisingly useful (albeit pricey) dock, and a good display. The price point alone is enough to make the Eee Pad the Honeycomb tablet to get assuming you don't need integrated 3G or LTE connectivity. The Eee Pad is comfortable to hold and use and despite the lower price point you don't feel like ASUS has sacrificed much at all to make it. The display has similar characteristics to what Apple ships in the iPad 2. Overall from a hardware standpoint, the Eee Pad is solid.

Yep, I PS screen is better. Like ipad2 screen more brighter than xoom, but no choice, I prefer xoom than others honeycomb tablet.

and rumour time again, this time it's abt Lenovo as well...

it seems that Lenovo is building another tablet besides the ThinkPad/Think Slate, however this one's for the consumers instead...

user posted image

7 Inch, 1280×800 display
Dual Core ARM processor
"Le OS / Honeycomb" Android with Lenovo UI
Available Q4 2011

looks pretty solid piece of info to me as LePad and IdeaPad U1 are already in the market...
