reading the comments from galaxy tab 10.1v(i believe is identical with google i/o that 1) users, most of them get a lightbleed...even they change it also get the same problem..
*
v is different from non-v...

v is the one with the original design, or the so-called thick one...

non-v is the one in Google I/O, 8.6mm thin one...

i tot sammy got reliability issues, no? I was into AV thread last time, and many people complain about their samsung plasma/lcd/led displays...
*
well, my home's Samsung LCD TV is still kicking after 8yrs... my dad uses it as a monitor... laugh.gif

the Galaxy S line of product (original Galaxy Tab included) is mainly plagued by the lag issue, cuz Samsung's genius programmers decided to use their own fileformat instead of the default one... sweat.gif

well, that advantage of Xoom is that it's a Google Experience device... it wil be the fist to get updates like the Nexus phones...

now which leads me to wonder... will Google make a Nexus Tab in the future? laugh.gif

I'm surprised they didn't make the Xoom the Nexus Tab to begin with...
*
well, it's not the first time that they do such thing... they get OEMs to make the device first back in the early days of Android...

Android 1.0 - HTC Dream
Android 1.5 - HTC Magic
Android 2.0 - Motorola Droid/Milestone

i won't hold my hopes so high man... Samsung dun ve a particularly nice history when comes to update...

i ve a feeling they re using this to test water for Galaxy S... the impact is much less if anything screws up... laugh.gif

wat's in Google min mow...

Gingerbread (2.3 & 2.4) are smartphone only

Honeycomb (3.0 & 3.1) are tablet only

Ice cream Sandwich (3.4? 3.5? 4.0?) is going to merge the 2 into 1 platform for both smartphones AND tablets...

Google said that they ve "cut the corners" in order to speed up the development of Honeycomb, and thus lacking some not so important features that are present in Gingerbread, most notably enterprise-grade security...

this is also the main reason y Honeycomb still hasn't been released to AOSP for general consumptions as Honeycomb has many flaws compared to Gingerbread if anyone wants to port it to a smartphone...

with Ice cream Sandwich i suppose Google is going to fill up the holes in Honeycomb as well...

i ve to admit, Apple builds great products for the noobs... iOS is easy to use and navigate...

but then with ease of use comes boredom as well... ur iOS juz look like any other iOS with all the icons on it... this is where Android scores, customization... no 2 Android owners will ve the same home screen, we want variety, dun we? laugh.gif

Because I live partly with this principle, "If you don't have any expectations, you can't be disappointed".

Besides, the Trasnformer isn't bad at all, it is perhaps the one of the best Android tablets now.

Plus, I really dislike Apple for how it's influencing people now.

well, if u ask me to pick 1 and only 1 Android tablet, i will go with Galaxy Tab 8.9... tongue.gif

ultra thin, smaller size, but still retaining 1280x800... nod.gif

i juz like how the original Galaxy Tab slips into my bag... i won't be able to do that with 10"... laugh.gif

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ May 16 2011, 11:39 AM)
Putting tablets inside bags seemed abit risky don't you think bro?
I remembered there was a thread indicating that its best not to put the lid of notebooks facing the back of the user when the laptop is placed inside the bag because bending might damage the screen...
Tablets seemed even more fragile  sad.gif
*
hmm, how should i describe... the pocket is on the side that's opposite my back when wearing it... so no weight is being applied on it...

and moreover it has Gorilla glass... laugh.gif
