Toshiba Thrive popped out again on a e-tailer list before being pulled down again...
8GB for US$449, 32GB for US$579... juz a recap, besides the normal Tegra 2, 1GB RAM, 10.1" monitor and Honeycomb, Thrive has full SD card support, full HDMI port and full USB port, which set it apart from other HC tabs... http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/22/toshiba...at-449-may-fin/ This post has been edited by astria: May 24 2011, 10:01 AM |

Galaxy Tab to ship with Android 3.1 at launch...
Added on May 26, 2011, 8:02 amAcer has pushed back the launch date of Iconia A100 to late August/early September, citing that there's restriction in Honeycomb to work with only 1280x800 (A100 is 1024x600)... top this off with monitor size on Honeycomb not being on top of the priority list of Google... but the interesting thing is, HTC claims that Flyer (also 1024x600) will be updated to Honeycomb "shortly after launch"... so who's telling the truth? only time will tell... http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20110525PD214.html This post has been edited by astria: May 26 2011, 08:02 AM |

Android 3.1 for Transformer has been leaked here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/05/28/do...oid-3-1-update/
NOTE: You MAY lose root (and that's a very BIG MAY) if you apply it. I do not take any responsibility if anything screw up. Proceed with cautions. This post has been edited by astria: May 29 2011, 01:44 PM |

tonnes of news with Computex happening...
first up, Nvidia demo-ed the graphic and physics performance of the 4 core + 12SP Kal-El... do note that this is still a test built and Nvidia claims that the production model will run 25-30% faster... a point of interest is at 2:05 when 2 of the 4 cores were disabled... |

another 7" tablet after HTC Flyer, the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 3D
similar to Flyer (to the pt of stylus), except that MeMo runs Honeycomb at launch and has a resolution of 1280x800... turn it into the landscape mode and u will ve a glass-free 3D mode to play with... also featured is MeMIC (pronounced as me-mike), which is a bluetooth remote control + headset to make calls with, so that u dun ve to slap the 7" tablet onto ur face to make calls... no price or launch date available yet... http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/30/asus-ee...3d-ips-display/ |

if HTC and Asus are not ur cup of tea, here's another 7" tablet, the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x
hardware is pretty much standard, 1GHz Tegra 2 processor under its hood, along with a 7 inch, 1024×600 display, HDMI out, microUSB, and support for HSPA+ but if u want to mix Windows with Android, ViewSonic has 1 for u too: the ViewPad 10Pro this is an Intel Oak Trail based tablet, but u get FroYo instead of Honeycomb, as the Android environment is wholly virtualized in Windows... so u get some performance drop, and no access to Android Market as well... http://www.slashgear.com/viewsonic-viewpad...ation-30155622/ |
