Even the PTPTN HQ in Penang Wel Quay has no idea about BigPay. They kept asking me for reassurance if it's indeed a debit card.

Yea, need to give them repeated confirmation that it's indeed a debit card (technically a prepaid card but oh well).

Can you share me how you check the current account information?

Got it, thanks. I didn't even realize that the account# / name are hyperlinks.

At the moment, the payment has yet to be reflected. I guess a couple working days are required.

For those of you who did the registration online, do you guys receive the email with your account#?

My wife registered today & made payment but the only email she received was the FPX email. Therefore, she can't create herself a SSPN account since she didn't screenshot the acount# that was shown prior to her making payment.

Yea, I found this FAQ as well. I used her NRIC to check for semakan but no record appeared but I guess that was due to her completing her payment after 5pm.

Just a quick update. There's another way to check for your SSPN account# if you lost it; just browse to https://www.ptptn.gov.my/penyatasp/Semak & key in your NRIC.

Just assure them that it's a debit card & if they ask for confirmation, insist so. You can also save the SSPN website link & show them on your phone that there is indeed a campaign between SSPN & BigPay.

Based on my understanding, if you skip 2019, then your tax relief for year 2020 will be reset so you should be able to get RM6K tax relief.

I stand corrected if there's anyone with hands-on experience on this.

EDIT: In case you don't know, SSPN 2019 max tax relief is RM8K.

Following your logic, I guess you gotta liquidate all your Bursa holdings, withdraw all your FDs & maybe start stockpiling breads?

Everything comes with a risk. If you have no confidence with SSPN, all you have to do is withdraw your everything out & park the fund somewhere else. Some of us just want to get the tax relief while some looked forward to the 4% return.

BigPay should be good to go since they identify BigPay as debit card rather than credit or prepaid.

Where do you see the 4% in your statement? I checked mine but still same ol' amount.

It was only eligible if your child is at least 7yo so "baby" is not covered.

So for those of you who deposited using BigPay, have you received the BigPoints? It's definitely more than 45 days now but I've yet to receive mine.

I posted a comment on SSPN's FB but they replied me the standard "BigPoints to be credited within 45 days of transaction". After I replied them that it's already >45 days, they went silent.

That's the thing that we're not clear about since it wasn't explicitly explained in the FAQ. Still, since this campaign is hosted by SSPN, it's only logical to assume that SSPN will be the one to handle this issue.

You're right. Guess I gotta bug BP CS tomorrow then but gonna set expectation to myself that they'll most probably be clueless.

I made an inquiry to BP (BigPay, not BIG Points) & they redirected me to raise an email to askbig@airasiabig.com.

At the same time, I also sent a message to PTPTN FB. They asked if the email address I used for PTPTN is the same email address as BigPay. Told them yes & now waiting for their reply again.

Looks to be the case here.
