Ouch, please don't be .. i need pay CC , lol ..

Last resort will be going to ATM..

I did call Bank Islam and they say no issue with my account.
Only scare maintenance from SSPN side.

I know this is 2 days late but since there's no new update, just letting you know that I had no issue withdrawing via Bank Islam today.

anyone try use bank islam online banking to withdraw SSPN? is there any daily limit?
*
So far I've yet to hit any limit when it comes to withdrawing from SSPN to Bank Islam (BIMB). In the BIMB transaction limit settings, the highest amount for "transfer to own account" is RM1mil so that's possibly it.

Can I deposit 4k each and claim 4k for husband and 4k for wife? As long as total is 9k per household?
*
I believe this is possible but why 9K per household though?

QUOTE(pysh @ Mar 5 2025, 12:02 PM)
So the workaround for this is (confirmed by my friend), open 2 SSPN account for your kid.. one guardian is husband, another guardian is wife.. u ownself manage the deposit equally to both accounts hence both can claim to 8k and max 16k per household..
*
Isn't that exactly what he's asking about? LOL

Wanted to get insight on below:

In beginning of 2024, I withdraw all the deposit from SSPN (Child A) and never put fresh fund in. The amount was around 50k. Hence, there is no tax incentive for 2024. Wife did the same.

Now, if I wanted to start depositing again for 2025, I assume this should be, 50k+8k to get the tax incentive. While wife doesn't need to do anything since it's max 8k for both parents.

What if, I register a new SSPN for Child B, and start fresh of 8k for 2025? Is this doable?
*
You already skipped the tax relief for year 2024, therefore you don't have to re-deposit the RM50K anymore for year 2025. You can start from 0 again now therefore RM8K is all you need to deposit.

Did the person who I was replying to specifically ask about withdrawing >RM50K?

Pretty sure I also included the word "possibly" when I pointed out the limit as stated in the BIMB website.

Hey guys, I plan to put the annual 8k in sspn next week.
Is there any promo codes, goodies, transfer using cc or e-wallet, anything that can maximise benefits?
Thank you.

Your best bet is to inquire at the PTPTN branch near you.

If you're confident of generating better return than the combined SSPn tax relief + dividend then go for it.

My wife and I are separate taxpayers. If tagging child B to my wife's IC, I can't enjoy the RM4000/child tax relief.

You do realise that SSPN tax relief is now applicable to either parent only right? I.e. it's either you or your wife only now.

I have some questions:

1. If I open account for my child, do I choose "anak kandung" and do I name myself as the beneficiary?

2. If I put in RM1,000 today, can I withdraw the money freely? Is there lock-in period? Do I need to submit any application, bring birth cert etc?

3. Is withdrawal done online, at PTPTN counter, or at any bank counter?

4. Is there any minimum balance requirement? Can fully withdraw all RM1,000 but not close the account?
*
1. Your child is the beneficiary.

2. No lock-in period for SSPN Prime.

3.
a) Online is limited to RM1K per withdrawal per day. You'll need to wait until the money is in your bank account before you can make another withdrawal.
b) Alternatively, you can withdraw at the counter for whatever amount you want & wait a few days for the money to be in your bank account.
c) You can also link your Bank Islam account to your SSPN account. This way you can make instant transfer but limited to RM50K per day.

4. RM20.

EDIT: Looking at your post history here, you've been in this thread since 2024 so not sure why you're asking newbie question. hmm.gif

Is withdrawal only at PTPTN branches or any banks (selected?)?
*
You can withdraw from either at PTPTN branch or Bank Islam, provided you've opened an account at Bank Islam & have it linked to your SSPN account.

Wew, just found out that my username has been deleted. sweat.gif

Apparently once you stop logging into BIMB for 180 days, they'll set your account into dormant status & delete your online presence with the bank.

Now I have to go to the ATM to create my account & have it activated again. doh.gif

Can you share in more detail how did you go about with the SSPN withdrawal?

I assumed that you used the ATM to make multiple RM100K transfers from SSPN to BI, then used RENTAS to transfer from BI to somewhere else.

However, I believe that the assumption is incorrect since I failed to make a single RM100K withdrawal at BI ATM even though I've maxed about all the limits in the BI app. hmm.gif

My wife withdrew everything from her account recently and the officer didn't say anything (Amcorp Mall branch). Maybe this will only apply if you have joint assessment?

My take is that LHDN is not savvy enough to be able to monitor both husband and wife's account to be able to link the SSPN withdrawals/deposits. Just like how you can claim 100% child allowances on both wife and husbands' names if assessed separately (not that I do). I've been fiddling around with my tax account and it's a shame that you can't see in real time the amount of SSPN deduction you can take for the year.

Looks like I'll just take the plunge and do the full withdrawal and alternative year top-up between husband/wife accounts and see what happens.
*
Same, I withdrew everything minus RM20 from my account once the recent ganjaran kesetiaan ended & the agent at the counter didn't mention anything.

With that being said, you should have nothing to worry since both you & your wife are withdrawing everything.
