from what i see in my last application, after opening online you still need to go to the branch to collect your debit card. you need the debit card number to login online the 1st time. so i think without it, you will not be able to login

also ask for basic saving account, no yearly fee, although they were a bit reluctant at that time, keep on telling me there are this and that restrictions with the basic account

Can deposit using maybank2u. I did that last year when the sspn system was closed for the new year. deposited on 1st of January 2023 (iirc, the cutoff for dividend calculation was 5th of every month). the amount was reflected and dated 1st January 2023 when the system was back online around 11th January 2023.

It's not last minute. As far as I know. the dividend calculation cutoff is 5th of every month. So for year 2024, I deposited 8k into my account to maximise the tax relief and for it to be calculated the full year of 2024, my money has to be in my account latest by 5th of January to include the calculation of dividend for month of January 2024.

Since the web and app of ptptn is closed for year end maintenance and only open around mid January 2024, if wait for it to open then only deposit, the amount will only earn 11 months dividend for 2024.

So we are just finding alternative ways to deposit early of January 2024.

Yes if you are referring to (year of assessment) YA 2023. I am depositing for YA 2024. The tax relief for SSPN deposits for now is valid until YA 2024 until further notice.

For YA 2023, i deposited 8k on 1 January 2023.
