different MIUI version have different translation, as long as you know which one it is then its ok

after you picked never, it shouldn't go off anymore, are you using any other battery saving apps?

off your phone and, go to your bootloader (hold vol. down and press power button)
at the top of it see the model... HBOOT S-OFF Desire PVT4 means you need Amon-RA recovery...

CWM will not work on PVT4 (40000 erase size) devices and although you can boot into the recovery... you will not have partition SD card choice, also flash ROM will fail most probably...

it's not mount/format sd or ext... it's just Partition SD Card... a seperated choice, simple yet not misleading...

Hope this helps...
Good luck.. biggrin.gif

what about the bootloader? I do that everytime when I flash a new ROM  hmm.gif

That's the funny thing. I tried to do that on LeeDroid 3.0.2 but it brings me to Fast Boot (DHD thing) instead so I'm very ??????????? that time lol

Had to use a 3rd party App like Quick Boot to go Recovery/Bootloader = Lol

you are supposed to see a Partition SD Card option there... Thereafter you can continue on your ext 2 3 4 upgrade... If there is none, flash a new recovery using unrevoked... it seems a later version of CWM said by a previous forummer that it works... but still i will recommend Amon-Ra if you are PVT4... and you dont particularly need ROM manager.. it's just a quicker platform.... it will still need you to navigate at the recovery menu...

Good luck! =)

What kind of battery life do you guys get on desire..
Currently on Eviolet battery saving kernel on Gingervillian 2.0 and it lasts me from 8.30 am to maybe 10pm with average use..

phone calls, sms, internet, gmail..etc.

auto sych all disabled. data connection on all the time, coz i use whats app a lot.
battery usage stats show that the display is using almost all battery, but my display brightness is super low.
No rouge processes as well.

ideas gentlemen?

That's quite normal I think.

Data conn = Bye bye Battery.

Can try going extreme for Mugen (A bit pricey)

Fast charge with 3 pin = Win.

Just came home like 30-40 mins ago, fully charged now biggrin.gif

You must buy on the net.

www.mugenpowerbatteries.com

OR maybe try to buy from this ex-Desire user:

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry41678433

OR, your other alternative is:

Portable charger.

I got comment, how? brows.gif

You can leave your phone on while charging. It is just that you should not use your phone heavily while charging.

On/Off should be no problems. icon_rolleyes.gif

with the lock bootloaders nowadays that HTC is imposing.. not so sure anymore
if they stop doing so, then its another story

I'll probably wait for the next Nexus phone IF I were to look for an upgrade,
no matter from which manufacturer, Nexus phone will be great.

why? custom developer support tongue.gif
also regardless of hardware, they all runs silky smooth

+1. back to samurai question. what will be next android phone? htc, samsung, se or others?
most important point for me is many custom rom to play device. so far nexus are the most and follow by htc that i saw.
I wonder which manufacturer will be the next nexus phone? samsung, htc or others?

every time if I fully wipe and flash miui. usually I also go to wifi sleep policy, set to never.
so far I never encounter any wifi issue.
