QUOTE(turbocharged @ Nov 13 2011, 09:16 AM) well, have you pay a visit to SA recently? any news on 308 facelift? i think this 408 only matters for those who really needs a sedan car. if you ask me, i would say, HB is the in thing now, lol. golf, polo, mini cooper or even myvi viva shows we really started to like hb now. 408 the look is ok, but doesnt have the family look of pug. well, some say 308 looks ugly. constantly.and after doing some research i think that no point waiting because normally new model nasim will announce 1 year earlier.until now no news so assuming they will announce early 2012,only end of 2012 or 2013 we will see the new 308

I strongly believe Nasim will launch it after they completely cleared all old stock from Peugeot. For the new facelift, our neighbour country launch much earlier than us as their dealer is much More professional and ethics in many way if compare to Nasim. Frankly speaking, it don't believe the current old model is still in production after they launched the facelift model back in April 2011 in France. Therefore, Nasim is definitely helping them to clearing all the old stock and sold to Malaysians with a little unlucky..... What u all think?

What u all think? not unethical, simple. but the fact that they built a factory in gurun, means they need to take a certain quota of cars every year, so, might be 1000/2000, so they definitely under pressure to sell all, compare to ....50 cars? or 100 cars? from dealer sg?

i like the 308 CC. TBH, i don't really like the smiling face of the current peugeot line-up. 2012 308 CC looks more serious, hope Naza brings it in~

Of course I would be very glad to be proven wrong. Naza/Nasim had, from time to time, surprised us by bringing new cars into our market. As much as I wish our 408 will come with THP engine, I'll hold my horses for now. But looking in the past, 308 is not fully CKD, if you understand what I mean. And they still can't even do the LHD to RHD conversion right! And they still can't even do the LHD to RHD conversion right! 408 turbo proof : http://paultan.org/2012/02/20/peugeot-408-...thout-disguise/As for the LHD to RHD conversion, even UK (biggest Peugeot RHD market) doesn't get that sort of privilege. Guess the French don't even change the handbrake position, the location of the fusebox etc. So, conversion wise... it is up to the French to provide the parts. Not happening I think due to the cost to do the conversion. CKD basically involves assembling parts that come from the manufacturer and adding some local content to it. Nothing to do with conversion of the parts from LHD to RHD.

There is no such thing as a fuel saving engine for the 1.6Turbo...very thirsty...but then, you guy the car not for FC, you buy it for Performance.
