and from the history, they launched 6 speed at the end of the year 2010( 1 year after 308thp on sales)

and the fact that, since april 2011, peugeot only makes facelift 308, there might be a chance to have it earlier than end of 2012.

hahaha. btw,6 speed is a version of engine only.not new facelift.and as u said,1 year after 308 on sales.
its already november and no news about the new facelift yet.but i suppose end of december or early 2012 will have news.

I strongly believe Nasim will launch it after they completely cleared all old stock from Peugeot.
For the new facelift, our neighbour country launch much earlier than us as their dealer is much
More professional and ethics in many way if compare to Nasim.
Frankly speaking, it don't believe the current old model is still in production after they launched the facelift model back in April 2011 in France.
Therefore, Nasim is definitely helping them to clearing all the old stock and sold to Malaysians with a little unlucky.....

but the fact that they built a factory in gurun, means they need to take a certain quota of cars every year, so, might be 1000/2000, so they definitely under pressure to sell all, compare to ....50 cars? or 100 cars? from dealer sg?

they are definitely clearing the old 308 hatchback to replace them with the 308 sedan come april 2012 as i posted earlier.it is already confirmed by reports and nasim is focusing on the 308 sedan.it might replace the 308 hatchback temporarily

I dont think it's going to happen. Read somewhere the parts will be manufactured in China and assembled in Malaysia, if it's CKD. China's 408 didn't come with THP engine.

you would be surprised at what can be done. malaysia is probably not subject to 100% of what is offered elsewhere. there are limitations of course.

Of course I would be very glad to be proven wrong. Naza/Nasim had, from time to time, surprised us by bringing new cars into our market. As much as I wish our 408 will come with THP engine, I'll hold my horses for now.

As for the LHD to RHD conversion, even UK (biggest Peugeot RHD market) doesn't get that sort of privilege. Guess the French don't even change the handbrake position, the location of the fusebox etc. So, conversion wise... it is up to the French to provide the parts. Not happening I think due to the cost to do the conversion. CKD basically involves assembling parts that come from the manufacturer and adding some local content to it. Nothing to do with conversion of the parts from LHD to RHD.

Seems like Nasim have launch the facelift models. You can check out at bangsar showroom. 121,888 for Turbo, 102,888 for vti model.

There is no such thing as a fuel saving engine for the 1.6Turbo...very thirsty...but then, you guy the car not for FC, you buy it for Performance.
