look at the photo you posted - the rims is curved upwards and inside it is hollow so there is no place to put the silicone

The photo I post, end of the edge have flat surface and seal properly to the table top. The rim is also hollow.

Yeah. You remind me. RAVEN. This is the 1 I buy.

The rubber is very soft and compact in easily since inside is empty. So put on the heavy sink will compact in easily. (Won't lift up the sink) And it come in 2 seal. That totally seal out everything.

Flat rim no need rubber seal la. It will lift up the sink and look ugly. And cut your hand if bump to it. Why not undermount?

The sink should have the clip and screw. It prevent the sink from move around.

Your 1 is only can seal by silicon. But silicon will get mold after sometime. Can't run away. Try look for any other sealant at least anti mold.

The rubber thickness must below 1mm. Even 1mm consider too high.

I check at RS catalog. There is a tape call Polyethylene foam tape. Thickness is only 0.8mm. Another 1 call Polyethylene carrier-Tesa 51968. Thickness 0.3mm.

I don't understand what you mean very very thin the contact. Can't see the picture sink properly how is the edge shape. Get a close up picture and the bottom side.

You can get the rubber from the ACE. Those door and window seal rubber. I forget the brand. Still have a roll in my store room.

This is my sink edge. Any similar? I don't remember it have a rubber seal or using silicon. But I cannot see any silicon seal on the whole edge of the sink.

Yeah, it's something similar to your sink's edge except the "curve" is higher and the edge is thinner and not flat. In that way, I'd say your sink has more "contact point" with the counter than mine. Mine is just...imagine a piece of stainless steel curved on the edge. When the edge meets the counter it'll be just like the thinness is as thick as how thick stainless steel is. I'll take pictures when possible.

Going by these suggestions, is it possible I put the window seal on the hollow inside to fill it. Then seal the edges with silicon?
Will the silicon seep into the rubber over time, or is it non porous?

This was what I thought in the first place, just need some confirmation from those with more expertise. Thanks for the help everyone.

HCE granite sink is about the same price as well depending on which tap you are selecting. I was told my HCE that their new Granite Sink series are using the same material as blanco, hence easier to maintain and smoother surface.

I am using the old HCE model and i think it is OK. Just something to share, most of my customers will ask for a deep sink about 250mm as they say the deeper the sink, the better as water wont splash. Actually it is not true, most importantly your sink's bowl size is big enough to fit in your wok. As per my photo, the depth is only 190mm and i feel it is OK, at least i dont have to bend down extra 60mm to wash my wok or to take up my plates for.

Usually when we wash our plates, we will not bend all the way down to the bottom of the sink to wash, it will definite hurt our backs if we do so. We usually stand straight or bend a little and wash above the sink. Therefore, no point having a deep sink as the water splashes on the plate not sink.

THe new HCE granite sink size is not the same as the one i m using now as i m using an old model.
