Yes china brand is possible to have quality material. The one I bought is Italian brand. Is quite costly but worth the money. Don't chop like chicken on the granite surface, you will regret later. Had a friend who break the surfaces into many pieces.

Ya that's why I got the Rieber sink. Blanco is good too, but I had a better deal with Rieber, so just went ahead with it

DIY shop? You mean the shop will help drill hole at the sink?
Is it somewhere near Puchong Giant?

I'm not a pro, but based on what I observed, the undermount sink sits on a grooved hole in the concrete. Then you just top it up with granite or quartz or solid surface, with an opening for the sink

Top mount: easy to replace if your sink stains or rusts.

Undermount sink: water is easily swept into the sink as your top will be one smooth surface up to the sink opening. Looks much better too IMHO. But must make sure proper sealant is applied, otherwise will be troublesome if it leaks from the undermounted edges

Please correct me if I'm wrong tongue.gif

I think it this way :
mounted on top easy to replace/maintain
mounted consealed you will only knows when something happens

Top mount: is easier to replace if anything goes wrong..but can't swipe those water on the table directly into the sink. But you can also get those top mount with drainer to solve this problem.

Under-mount: Visually pleasing (personal preference) and water can easily swiped into sink.

Alot sifu nowadays can install top-mount sink as undermount installation. Just a tip. whistling.gif

Not really. Depends on what kind of sink. I can't say much about granite sinks cos they're so heavy and mine has not been installed. But normal stainless steel ones should not sink if properly installed

It all depends on how you install it. You can have additional supports for an undermount. I'm gonna use Sink Setter for my undermount when I finally get my sink.

In terms of usage both are about the same. Just aesthetic different.
Replacement wise, under mount slightly more troublesome.

Hi guys..need some advice.

This is a picture of my tap and pipe opening for the sink below it. The distance between the tap and pipe opening is very small, around 30cm only (can roughly gauge using the tile size which is 1ft wide). Then the kitchen cabinet will be about 5cm below it So I was wondering if I can put a deep sink for my kitchen? I think the sink will be around 20-25cm already. Is it possible to connect to the pipe opening via a U-shape pipe or something?

I have asked my contractor to relocate the pipe opening but it is horizontal inside the wall so it will involve a lot of work to relocate it.

What is the best way to fit in a deep sink without relocating the pipe?
