I'm a mech keyboard noob here (haven't really owned 1 yet).

I'm interested in getting the iOne Xarmor, particularly the XArmor U9BL-S.

But can't seem to find it anywhere in KL? Not even any forumers selling it.

May I know what's the best way to get hold of this item?
Or do I have to buy it online.

Read around for what people think about it, OCN or GH, and see what problems they have.

I don't know why but there's something that kept telling me that people that interested in that iOne Xarmor are due to its blingness instead of its "deep-inside-beauty", no offense to current iOne's user.

In fact I did do some research (on gaming user forums, youtube, with OCN and GH included).
Most of the feedback are somewhat positive. The only downside I find is perhaps the durability of the keycaps?
My research may not be thorough enough, so pls take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Like I said I'm noob and interested only, maybe you can share with me what kind of problems this keyboard has so that I will reconsider more?

Some reasons I'm interested in it are:
- Cherry MX-Brown version
- compact size, not bulky. has detachable wrist-rest
- retains the standard keyboard layout (otherwise i would've chosen steelseries, but they replace/move some of the keys!)
- has USB hub (users have reported it can support mass storage devices, while I asked my friend using Razer BlackWidow - he plugged in USB harddisk, can't detect at all)
- LED backlight

Or can you kindly suggest a good mechanical keyboard which suits my needs above.
Sorry if this is too much to ask, I know I can't have best of all worlds.

The backlight is 1 of the reasons.
But to be honest, the XArmor U9BL-S doesn't really look that nice.
If I were to go for 'blingness' I would've chosen Razer BlackWidow easily.

The USB hub are meant to attach a wireless mouse or what not.
Attaching a mass storage device would render your keyboard useless when you are transferring stuff.

What's your budget? If you can afford USD$135 I would assume you could pay slightly more.

Honestly I don't see the point of a USB hub on a keyboard but don't let anyone discourage you though; you know best what you want. Currently I'm just using those RM5-10 ringgits USB extension cords and hide them nicely around my monitor as I unplug my keyboards & mouses often. Or you could mod it into your drawer, like this: (beware of spending too much time on this website)


I don't like USB hubs though, you can't tell if they're actually 1.1 or 2.0 and ometimes they are of suspicious quality; I have one of these hubs and when plugged in the keyboard act funny sometimes.

Hdd won't work on the USB hubs of keyboards due to the amount of power needed to power it. Pendrive works just fine.

das keyboards tend to have very wearable key cap prints. so those letterings basically will fade really easily, like those cheap rubber dome keyboards.

Also it's glossy. Finger print magnet basically kinda like the razer black widow.

Okok guys, I think if I can see for myself and get a feel of the keyboards then it'd be better.

But so far I've only seen Razer BlackWidow and SteelSeries G7/G6v2 in stores (namely those at lowyatplaza and digitalmall).

What about the other keyboards that forumers have?
Any shops in KL that have them? Or all must order online only?

i think they say C zone in lowyat plaza has filco boards. with various switches. maybe you can try there?
