Yes we should never ask players to stay should they want to leave. Then why did we beg Gerrard to stay ? Or forced Mascherano to play further 2 years for us ? Or blocked Torres's transfer request ? And now Kenny has publicly asked Reina to stay with us. Aqualani wants to stay in Turin, thats understandable. We pushed him out and he got comfortable in Turin, that's our own fault. If Juv refused the price, then we bring him back and our midfield is stronger in depth. And as for wage bill, he's on lower wage than Maxi. People will always have the capacity to change, bring him back and i'm sure he will think differently.

Well, if he's really had that good a season at Italy then there will be other Italian clubs that will be interested in him since Juve cannot afford the price tag. Otherwise he has little option but to return and tough it out in our midfield where the competition for starting berths is much tougher than before.

I still don't see why we bought him in the first place if he can't play against the more physical teams in the Premiership, or so I was led to believe.

Not sure bout long term but in the short while that Aquilani managed to play, I thought he played and looked good enough for EPL. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of him back with us than to sell him at a lower cost because Juve ain't willing to pay up.

well my guess, earlier this season, we had the 'promising' services of a certain mercurial joe cole.

aquilani was probably seen as 'surplus' by RH standards & "fragile". it was probably 'less risk' to off loading him sooner the better. myself too can really blame aquilani feeling "unwanted" or a little "disillusioned" by sending him a plane ticket to juve.

well things changed, i don't know how any current lfc player could persuade aquilani to give us another shot.

if aquilani is any sort of a typical italian people i know (couple of friends i know), i'm pretty sure he's made up his mind in staying in italy.

Actually he did make up his mind to stay with the Old Lady, the hold up is the actual fees to be agreed.
But being Italian or not, since he has a contract, he dont have a choice but to come back when the loan expired.
IF he does come back, bet he'll need new no since Meireles already stated that he adored Liv no 4 because of Hyypia.

in term of physical, i think there is not much difference between Italian and English football... the only big difference is the pace of the game where the tempo of English football is much faster... lot more running and closing down is quicker.. maybe that's why Serie A is quite boring for those who use to watch EPL.

was discussed in RAWK and many believe rafa bought him not as a box to box midfielder but as a playmaker orchestrating attack from the back with gerrard and torres in front. the role that he played in juve now.

i was not in the same camp that believe he cant stand the physical side of BPL because he almost the same build/size with benayoun and benni almost have no trouble coping. imho, he just need time to adjust..
