my sig at the bottom says it. that man did what he was paid to do when we signed him. things didnt work as well, well everyone will have to move on, as i too agree & share both duke red & redshaun's views.

liverpool fc as far as we the fans too didnt fulfil their potential when we were owned by the the texas cowboy goats.

I didnt liked the way torres left but his contributions far outweight as such the amosity held by some blunts here. they probably behave or are quasi everton or even closet manu fans or i cannot fathom anything else to be said.

i havent really forgaving McManaman for shoving Lfc to having peanuts, not even a bag of peanuts, no wait, it was zero money, which is worse actually for the club?

*(the lad after retirement still don's the LFc jersey, i suppose is his atonement for what he cause LFc to suffer).

what manner torres left us bar far still in nothing compared to being shoved for free (bosman), almost free (running down the contract) & left the club with no bargaining power, & not even willing to return back even we held out in open arms but chose to sign over to the pies & then over to the devil.

El-Hadji Diouf... to me he was never a lfc player. I find it hard to acknowledge him as an ex-lfc player.

there is not many games left & last night win helps in our confidence towards next season. looking at the points difference, it looks & look dimmer as weeks comes by for us to chase the 5th but i like we arent given up the drive to win games. this is most important as it will show players like reina that the is still much to play for in the future even when we haven nothing, no trophies this season.

Also have a feeling it'll be Reina turn in the summer. Have a gut feeling he'll most definitely leave, either Man U or Gunners.
*
if gunners come for him, he probably will go. manu, no. NO liverpool or ex liverpool players will consider them out of respect of the rivalry. torres said it, I'm positive reina too won't join as the same reason.

i dont know if the vultures here will hang him out like the way they crucify torres but i'm sure internally the lads at lfc will try to persuade to stay. it won't be easy after all the lies the texan cowboys dismantled & crippled us 5 years of progress as it would also now probably take KD another 2-3 seasons for us to build us to be title contenders.

Looking at the Tables, we actually hav a mathetical chance to go for position number 5, which is better then wat we was at the end of last season under Rafa hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
why dont you add if its not because of RH we will be the top of the league & probably on our way to capturing our 19th? hmm.gif

if Liverpool is doing well & not in a crisis, kenny will be there a long time, there is little chance of rafa or any top manager into the position of LFc manager for a forseable future.

I wont even consider jose mourinho, if he comes knocking at john henry's door. He is only 'really' interested to come back to an expensive assembled team & chances are the team he wants most is fergies warm seat at Manu. He (jose) wont even stay long to build a team!

let the old times roll again under dalglish cool2.gif

Of course he did with GH players. Do you expect him to come in his first season and change the whole team so he can claim that he win [insert any cup here] with his own players?
[/end rant]

I'm in the mood for a rant today  whistling.gif  biggrin.gif

come on guys, we won't win harmony here. if he thinks gerard houllier team won the CL, be it then la.

Cant change his unchangable & to us we thinks his narrow mindset, himself, not. Houlliers team should not only won the europa (UEFA cup but 4 others) and should have thrashed the mights of europe in CL (no wait, i remember we struggled or missed to get into CL every season bar 1 - 2, struggled against bayer leverkusen. valencia, ....

its the same camp that's with rick parry then christian poulsen, all won't credit spanish gaffer.

QUOTE(digilife @ Mar 27 2011, 08:54 AM)
KD will do good as a good Manager, however, Mourinho will be a good second choice if funds is available to him.
*
your jose mourino wants probably a nett spend on transfer budget.

liverpoolfc will probably go bankrupt faster than we pick up any sign of trophies. I dont get it. ppl always criticize rafa for over-spending (they never read between that he sold to raise funds before buying & often picking free transfers (what to do we aren't big budgetted as manu, man cy, chelsea, Rmadrid etc)

even if this is not true (link below), but given in all the previous clubs he managed, he aint into investing & regroup/priorities the clubs academy, he's not there for long term for a club but to buy success. only 3 english clubs that he eyes in return to EPL, Manu, chelsea, man cy, in that particular order.

QUOTE
Jose Mourinho has demanded a salary of 20 million-a-year and a transfer budget of £150 million to return to the Premier League.

Forty-eight-year-old Mourinho has been made aware of two potential Premier League suitors via his agent Jorge Mendes, the Daily Express reports.

Currently he earns £10 million a year at the Bernabeu and is already the world’s highest-paid manager.

Mourinho, who has won the Champions League with Porto and Inter and two Premier League titles at Chelsea, believes he is on the verge of big things with Real Madrid.

He also acknowledged his plans to return to England in the near future.

“I have never hidden my desire to return to England some day but there are three years left on my contract. I intend to see them through and maybe even carry on with a new contract,” he said.

“We are on the right path and titles will come either this season or next. My teams usually do better in the second season,” he added.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Mar 29 2011, 07:38 PM)
Get used to it. It isn't any different from you or any other poster posting an opinion. The reason you do so is to encourage people to see your point of view. Same as those who try to convince everyone that Torres should be treated like scum. Where there is no right and wrong, we need to find a set of rules. In my opinion, this should be when we look at the principles and values which form the foundation of the club. If not for these values, we are no different from any other football club.
*
rightly said, the arrogance within some lfc 'fans' can be done without, who cant differentiate respect, morality, acknowledgment, fans behaving badly just because they can't or too arogant to read between the lines, somehow its easily identifiable/similar to such behavioral of such fans of a certain other football club thats the most hated in UK.

i'm all for emotion should exist in the game.. but cursing angrily at the camera is not one of them.

i believe the best 'politician' in the the fooball world is fergie.

he got this built into manu very well. "Us (manu) against the world".

so many volitile characters/behaviour (averagely over the rest) in manu. emotions are expected but they way somehow manu players get 'more' riled up than other teams, speaks how much influence fergie has over manu players behaviours. (bar giggs, i suppose)

it can be a strong trait & the arrogance is almost always dsplayed onfield.

i suppose i'll be called ignorant or weird to point this up but this is only my observation. tongue.gif

Record are meant to be broken, if MU able to break the record, so be it. Our priority now is Europe, so we should focus on getting 3 points against Arsenal
*
agree. we dont intentionally play to lose as how we were purportedly to the loss last year to chelsea (so that they dont drop points on their path to the title)

we are fighting for points & a place in europe as in last season & every season the club strives.

it wont be easy to slay arsenal but liverpool believes in themselves now more than ever in entire season. so gunners got to better watch their backs tongue.gif

+1

given the hints of positives under Fenway Sports Group (FSG) & KD so far, they (manu) better be watching their backs.

stadium?

for mid to long term, now with whats happening in emirates stadium & the (matter of formaility) of new owners, they should be thundering across as a healthy football club. (though i'm not sure of their gate receipts vis-a-vis against the big clubs)

Yup, notice that. Like how GH would bring  French kids, Rafa with his La Liga raid and King Kenny just loves scot players. There is no denying that there is a bit of bias on theri side but if its good for the club to move forward, the I don;t mind if we have 22 Scotsmen on the team as long we are winning games and continue to fight for the title.

maybe, just maybe coming from the same neighbourhood would mean understanding their (local) language tongue.gif

silly excuse but do notice the trend is also similar across other football clubs. just some stats but i dont think much into it.

I think many still share your sentiment but not me. I don't intend to start a debate on this again but unless the Henry and bunch are willing to give Rafa a free reign again, disharmony is waiting round the corner. I truly admire him for his desire to absorb everything about the club and embrace our beliefs, but King Kenny is doing a good job despite inheriting a thin squad and I see no reason to rock the boat. Well unless he isn't appointed full time like you say.
*
agree, if whatever reason KD isnt appointed as permanent (if fenway goes stupid), i would welcome back rafa. & as what DK said but this time, rafa needs to lighten up. all the 'seriousness' making them too robotic. (which is why i guess crouch mimic the robot dance ??).

rafa was all 'professionalism', maybe in some aspects liverpoolfc needed to haul itself into some areas to todays (football) commercialism. but in the department he (rafa) should immersed himself closer to the squad. but for now hPY bday to rafa. thanks for the memories, we were certainly made better with you around, and now the baton is with KD, lets move ahead back to the summit

the short clips tells a lot of the man, he has embraced liverpool, the fans there embraced him as one of them. rafa thanks for the memories, the good work will continue.

Description at the video
"For a man who is so in control of his emotions you can see that Liverpool and the struggle for justice runs deep in him. In a football world so filled with dickheads and money grabbing pricks you then have a man like him who is torn to f***ing shreds in the media. What happened to that man during his last year here was a disgrace in anybodies language." Bleedsred1978

where art thou the conspirator theorist?

i miss the whole game (had an event), but i'm impressed by the commitment of the hungry liverpool. sure we are completely out from chasing for any trophies this season but we glad as the signs of a inspired displays of our young academy troops are anything & the future is bright!

we need to be cautious though, as in the past years & seasons, our squad never had the depth compared to manu, chelsea, gunners, to sustain a challenge the whole season.

look at manu this season, esp in the FA semis, if wayne didnt crooked his own spot on the team with his expletives, they could have walked all over city. the amount of depth the subs bench only shows why for the past 20 odd years they had dominated & picking up trophies to haul themselves on the verge of knocking us off the pinnacle of title stats. we acknowledge they have positioned themselves well & looks like with 6 games left, they are likely be crowned their 19th.

admittedly none of us, the fans nor the liverpool players, management likes that but we acknowledge it gives us a new vigor. The troops at the academy to the first team players all seemed to have a belief our time will come, the photo of pepe celebrating with kuyt sends good vibes, we may, just may be able to convince reina to stay.

With new owners, & no bickering amongst the manager & owners to cloud the team spirit, possibility new concrete plans to develope the stadium to increase revenue for us to sustain a long term challenge, year after year on domestic trophies & european glories.

a tribute to KD as he had some insights to the ability of the lfc academy (on the hindsight maybe it was a masterstroke to bring KD to academy ambassador!!)

I'm certainly in anticipation of fenway / KD plans this summer.

Got this bit from the LFC forums :

How many examples can one man give of what a brilliant manager should look like??

Everything spot on. He's did everything right as a manager, shows passion and willingness to help the young ones settle in and unlike uncle woy who likes to rub his face when things are not going his way.  biggrin.gif
*
i don't miss rub face, sorry.

Good fine likeable chap he may be, he doesn't measure up anywhere to be in control. for all the 30 years he was in charge of top teams, he had his shot & didnt leave us with good memories on how we function as a team or how we played.

KD has confidence, i hope the aura stays that way.

i still think kenny will be the manager next season.

NESV is just keeping their word, they said they would asses his performance at the end of the season, then award him with a contract.
*
agree, my intuition tells me its matter of formality & what better way to do so at the end of the season.

of course i highly doubt fenway will have a brain freeze & decide to appoint mourino (which will be of delight to some forumers here). its a shot in the foot to say the least as he wont stay more then 2 seasons unless john henry is born a russian billionaire. hehe i digress.

there are so many indication that fenway has said over the press that they hope to return some things, way things are conducted "the liverpool way".

if you could flash-forward ahead, you can almost see the banner announcing KD as permanent manager of Lfc cool2.gif
