actually i noticed past month many petronas outside KV already enabled with Setel, just they only do announcement after certain milestone is archeieved.
but bear in mind tho, those CC with petro cashback not entitled rebate when you topup in Setel.

some can, and even as Online category, not necessary as Petrol category

Is it possible to request SST rebate for this credit card, maybe after achieving certain spending requirements?

The purpose of using this credit card is obviously to reload Touch n' Go card, in BHP station during weekend, and some petrol refuelling.

The annual fee of AFFINBANK BHPetrol "Touch & Fuel" Mastercard Contactless is waived for 1st year. The annual fee of RM 150 for subsequent years can be waived with RM 2400 of minimum spending per annum.


For me, RM 2400 of minimum spending per annum is quite high, even if this credit card is used purely for reloading Touch n' Go Card. Since BHP station is quite far from my home, it is quite infrequent for me to use this card for pumping petrol.


For me, using this credit card to reload Touch n' Go Card is worthwhile, since we tend to reload huge amount, in a single transaction.


Probably, I may need to terminate this credit card, before the annual fee for the second year of usage is imposed.

Yes, you are right. I missed out that the annual fee can be waived with the 12 swipes per year, when I glanced through https://www.affinonline.com/tariff#credit_card.

If that is the case, I may be able to hold on to this credit card much longer. Effectively, the net petrol cashback is slightly less than 10%, because the petrol cashback is used to indirectly pay for SST, and no SST rebate is offered by Affin Bank.

in my opinion, swipe minimum 12 times in a year for subsequent years is easily to achieve.

i call in to request waiver. bad thing is Affin Bank doesn't auto waive like some other banks.
