maybe can start at Ace Hardware, i think they got the most varieties for DIY stuff.

don't know why recently when at high speed which is over 100km/h on high rpm that time my engine will knocking  hmm.gif
tried different petrol and add fuel additive also same.
*

probably your injector injecting too less petrol, hence when high RPM it can't provide enough petrol into the combustion chamber. culprits could be:
1. injector
2. fuel regulator
3. fuel filter
4. fuel pump

or maybe your ECU sot-sot already. try clear off the ECU memory by take out the battery negative terminal for few minutes.

how to know if my injector got problem? and also the fuel regulator. My fuel pump is still quite new, Bosch. Fuel filter I guess got 2 years age already.
*

I also dunno how to check if it got problem. tongue.gif
Your filter already 2 years so better change it, I changed mine last time the colour come out like coffee.. at the same time you can ask your foreman if he can check injector and fuel regulator got problem or not.

Hi sifu...i really need some help here...my wira now having weird sound..here is the story...:
last saturday i went to change my brake pump and everything goes well...but eventually after 1 or 2 days (around tueday)...my front wheel start to have knocking sound...then i found it whenever i turn my steering left a bit then it will have that sound..(like metal to metal knocking sound)...isit the steering rod??
2. until yesterday night...i realise that now my rear wheel there also got "kleng kleng" sound when i go throught bumpy road or sometime suddenly one...hahaha...i am really really "mentally stress"...sifu please help me...haha..this month already broke adi...change so many thing...
*

1. Not drive shaft sound? Maybe the disc come into contact with disc cover at the back.

2. Probably worn out dog bone / rubber bushing. Last time mine the foreman didn't tighten the dog bone properly then also come out funny sound, after tighten properly no more sound.

The sound repeatedly when your car moving to the left or once only? To try, when stationary move your steering about 30 degrees to left and right repeatedly, if got sound means got problem. I dunno is it steering rack or just the bushing problem.

@nelsonlye
your MAF sensor is situated much more to the front. surely that will affect the air reading. yours don't have exhaust sensor right? need to do wideband reading to know if effect the AFR.

Yeah MAF Sensor will be much front....so ECU will hv wrong A/F reading?

Exhaust Sensor mean O2 sensor?

Apexi Turbo Timer can read O2 and A/F  hmm.gif

*
the distance traveled for the air is different, my guess will affect the A/F reading.
this is my guess only lar. someone with engineering or physics background will know better.

exhaust / O2 sensor is sensor that plugged at your exhaust manifold or along your exhaust piping.
but our 4G92 if not mistaken don't have this sensor, mine don't have.
Apexi A/F reading not accurate, if not mistaken it only reads norrowband, not wideband.

Yeah...my car have O2 sensor...i guess all car should have O2 sensor..is either at the extractor or at the Exhaust there..

you sure ar got O2 sensor?
what I know is 4G92P ECU earlier model don't have O2 sensor. unless you changed the ECU already.

lucky you to have O2 sensor, like that you don't need to worry if mods then your AFR will be rich/lean.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Aug 20 2011, 07:25 PM)
We old versions have no 02 sensor
After 97 should have 02 sensors
*
ya lar, i also sad when found out mine didn't have O2 sensor.

but high RPM or half throttle will still affect coz the ECU ignores the O2 reading.

Hai All,

My car temperature is always shows at middle bar. If I used Aircond, it will go up one bar above the middle bar. If i used aircond in the middle of panas terik, it almost at the red bar. But in the morning, it shows one bar below the middle bar.

How to diagnose what is the problem?
1. Thermostat?
2. Motor fan of radiator?
3. Radiator itself?
4. Alternator cannot supply enough power to radatior and aircond fan??
Or any causes other than above?
*
got read such problem before. maybe you can try search "The Fast & The Furious" or "Technical Talk"
if not mistaken the thread that i read mention the problem is sensor at radiator.

QUOTE(jay @ Aug 24 2011, 08:25 PM)
can teach how to paint like that??  drool.gif
I like the rough finish of matte black
*
the picture looks like got blemish of purple but the real thing actually looks better than the picture, it is actually deep black with grainy texture.

best to do this on noon as you have plenty of sun heat.

start off by using sandpaper grit 80 soaked with water and do the whole part till there is no more area that the paint can be peel off by itself and the whole part doesn't have smooth surface. then wash it properly till all the dust is cleared. now apply thinner to cloth and use it to clean of the whole area of any bits of oily surface. left it to dry by the sun heat for a while.

taped off all the opening. and now you can start spraying it. use hi-temp spray (about RM20 per-tin) and start spraying one thin layer, doesn't matter if it looks uneven, we got plenty more layer to go. the high-temp spray actually will give the grainy texture effect. after spraying each layer let it dry for about 10 minutes in the sun before applying next layer. after used up the whole tin left it to dry for about 3-4 hours before fixing it back to the car.

be careful when fixing it back, although it looks dry the paint can still be scratches, i scratches mine near the nuts with the spanar. after fixing it you can drive the car already, the paint won't melt off. after a day the paint will be harden and it won't be easily to be scratches.

all the best when spraying it. icon_rolleyes.gif

one mounting is about RM30 - RM60, depends on quality. Wira got 4 mountings. labour depends on mechanic i guess, maybe some just RM50 while some may change till RM150. get Mitsubishi mounting, quality is better.

Proton quality is better than Mitsubishi?? Somehow I doubt it.. just make sure you get original Proton parts, and not imitation parts put in original Proton boxes.

Get 4G93 SOHC is better, you get plenty of torque to move you around and with SOHC means you'll get good FC especially if cruising around 90-110km/h.

Is it worth it to convert from 4G15 ? How much 4G93 SOHC ? DOHC is crazy expensive.
*
Depends if you feel the money worth it for the extra power that you get. If manual can play with most 2.0 car.
