Still could Singaporean telcos have larger customer base than Malaysia?
Their demand for smartphones could be higher but with our larger pool of customers, Malaysian telcos should be bulk ordering in larger amount than them.

Larger bulk order = lower priced deals.

Purchasing power can be considered here too like you said but not quite convinced that the whole Singaporean smartphone users combined could even exceed Malaysian's total customer numbers.

This is true if it only accounts for Singapore. They could even do the bulk for their overseas investments involve Optus, Bharti, Telkomsel as such. If that's true then, this would mean that their bulk orders are larger than ours instead.

Sales will be purely based on POTENTIAL customer base. It does not mean a higher population means a higher customer base. Back to my analogy, Spore population is about 4 million - ask yourself how many % of it will buy a smartphone costing S$700 and above. Now ask in Msia even with 15 million - how many % will buy a smartphone costing above RM 1500. Purchasing power will depend on available disposal income. One need not to do much research , the Spore numbers will be higher than Msia . Just look at GDP - Spore 2009 GDP is US 189 billion while Msia with a bigger population is only US$193 billion - so you can see how can Msia purchasing power compete especially in high tech items

Read this article : http://www.asiaone.com/Business/News/My%2B...0626-72979.html

Spore is now rank no 7 in having the fastest growing number of millionaires - Msia is not even in the list. Topping the top-10 list was India, followed by China. Other countries in the top 10 list are Brazil, which took the third spot, followed by South Korea, Indonesia, Slovakia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Czech Republic and Russia. So if you are an industrilist wishing to sell expensive stuffs - will you want to sell it in Msia or Spore ??

Just got myself this HP. Never had much time to fiddle with the stock ROM, straight flash to PK RevD, so cant compare the performance.

The good:
- Cheap
- Its android!
- Lots of Apps! (you can use your phone as a remote control your PC)
- Lots of custom ROM

The Not So Good:
- Camera quality is barely usable.
- Built quality could be better.
- Screen kinda dull
- Slow reboot (bout 30-45 seconds? Rom problem?)

Thats my thought for now. BTW, I having this random weird problem, not sure if its related to the ROM or the phone. Say, when I play games or open an app, then I closed it, the auto tilt will tilt the screen(widescreen) upside down. Any of you encounter this problem? It solve with restarting the phone. Its embarrassing if your friends saw that. tongue.gif

BTW, can you guys list down whats apps/games you guys installed? Any addictive games?

thanks for the response,, i also found in a thread that autofocus on spice mi300 is just a dummy. the lens dont even move and theres no graphical change when camera button is half-pressed. can any of mi300 users confirm this?
i tested the cam before in a shop but couldnt confirm this as the cam of the display unit was covered with a sticker,. i wasnt really sure if the lens moved while autofocusing or not..
how bout u guys, are there any differences in the image when half-pressing the button?
