Jasonkhoo - Read this : http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/09/28/how-t...all-apps-on-it/

If you are familiar with ADB and have installed Android SDK on PC - it is not a difficult process

Or as proposed earlier if you have Paragon Partition Manager - use it

excuse me..if i use Nokia BL-6F..is that negative effect ?? beside...how can i remove the google account ??
*
The CSL i300 battery is similar to Nokia BL6F - why negative effect - same type of battery ?? There are 2 types of N95 : BL5F n BL6F - get the BL6F

Why would you want to remove Google account - without it you cannot access Market to download apps - is a compulsory requirement. It is also very useful to sync contacts/calendars if you have such in your Gmail account. Unless you are downloading illegal/warez apps from elsewhere, than no comments
You will be missing a lot of Android experience without the Google account , example voice activated features - search, voice navigation , speech to text etc

Actually I don't see much difference , if any between Phantom King v2 against v1. Noticeable difference is the quadrant scores - the highest I ever recorded on v1 was 938
I'd like to know what was change in v2 , but no changelog available yet

restore by rom manager wont restore ur service provider,
actualy u should try 1st, try and error and have fun lol
*
You do have a point

If you have backup stock CSL original rom, just use it. It is NOT necessary to flash the stock Spice rom . I have tested both

That's why I say in the beginning, for those who have yet start to flash any cook rom, ALWAYS backup a copy of the original CSl rom. It is very useful.

During my tests, I noted a strange occurrence BUT it is not repetitive - sometimes you will lose your network, sometimes you will not.
Losing network means you cannot call/SMS/no data - Call settings are greyed out.
Sometimes, you can reset the network by just settings/wireless network/mobile networks - tick n untick n tick " Always connect to Mobile". But at times it just cannot work. So the only solution was flash back the original CSL then flash new rom

I flash my latest Phantom King v2 straight from King v1 without any issues

I'd said that is actually no hard and fast rule - I realized this after testing several options. But the GOLDEN guide is always flash back to stock than to new rom - just follow this if you are not confident

Consolation - unlikely you will ever brick your phone. So don't worry - experiment it yourself

swiftkey, better keyboard...
my swype works fine...until recently it stop swyping.

then i update it, swyping is good to go.

if you really like swype (which i really do)

i'd suggest you register & download the swype installer, to get latest ver & updates.

i just kinda get the feeling that once a newer version is up, the current version on phone stops swyping...maybe..

Swype has on 10 March released new registrations for beta testers. Log in at beta.swype.com to register. Using your email and password , you can always have access to download their latest updates - no need to worry about your version expiring and not working or hunting all over the internet for latest apk

This registration is on limited time offer - do it before expiry

anyone try [Rom 2.3.3] CyanogenMod 7 w/Gapps .nb0??

does this one need the user to touch android icon like other .nbo rom(firetrap, phantom)??
*
That was my first Cyanogen rom I tested. You are asking a strange question or I misunderstood you. In ALL android smartphones, when you flash any new rom, after a successful reboot you will always be greeted with the Android mascot and you have to tap on it first to get setup started

guys, tried install phantom king 1 and 2 but both stuck at android setup wizard.Touch screen not working. What i did wrong?i started with 2.1 rom for each flashing process, really need your help.
*
You mean you have successful flash and rebooted. At the opening screen of Android mascot - you cannot proceed further ? Touch screen freeze at this point ?

Take out battery ; wait 10 sec - put battery back. Boot into recovery mode ( camera+vol up+power ) : Wipe dalvik cache, Wipe wipe cache partition, wipe data/factory reser - then select reboot system

NO need - the phone itself has a default recovery builtin - is only more basic. But after you have your phone successfully flash, better install a proper more features recovery from rom manager

You mean you did not root ?? You need to root in order to flash roms. Use z4root - just few seconds only to do it

QUOTE(jasonkhoo87 @ Mar 17 2011, 12:47 AM)
wanna ask here.. im using phantom king rev2.

i already setting my CONFIG to App2sd+Dalvik2sd+Data2sd.

My sd card total 4gig. 1gig partition to ext3, another 3gig partition to fat32.
fat32 primary, ext3 as logical.

After install certain application, the application still install at phone memory. Then i open the application manager, move certain application to sd card.

My question is, why the ext3 not being used to stord application? I notice this because of my fat32 is reducing while im moving the application to sd. If without moving, the application will remain at phone memory.

i try the app2sd software also...

can i view the ext3 partition to see what files in the partition.?
*
I have explained in an earlier post that :
- most old apps if not being develop to be install on card will be install on phone memory. Such apps , you need to " force move" at settings/applications/app
- some apps are not recommended to be installed on card eg system utilities, widgets - by default will install in phone memory. Some cannot be force move , while some can - depend again on developer

How do you know whether your ext3 being used to install apps ?

Use the free app Quick system Pro - see pic below : A2SD storage - I have allocate 1 GB to ext - note about 370 MB being used for apps. Internal storage about 120 MB taken up due to apps not install on ext partition - these include data too, cache etc. System storage reserved for default apps/system apps/core apps - these will reduce if you use eg Titanium Backup to remove

Attached Image

See some pics below where i show you how to know whether your apps are being install on fat or ext3 ?

Settings/Applications - on sd card tab : you see 2 apps - these 2 apps appear here as it is install on FAT partition. If it is install on ext3 - you will not see it here
Attached Image

Look at this app : the "move to sd" is NOT grey - this means this app can force install to card but it will be on the FAT partition NOT on EXT3
Attached Image

Look at this app : the "move to phone" is shown : this means this app I have force move to card and I can force move it back to phone
Attached Image

Look at these 2 app : move to sd card it is grey out : this means the apps was installed into the ext3 directly

Attached Image Attached Image

So I hope you now understand how apps installation work - there is no blanket rule that all apps can be install only on FAT or only on EXT3 or phone memory. You need to understand the apps install features
I have said before, if you are using Phantom King rom. NO NEED to use any 3rd party apps to have apps2SD. The rom will auto allocate it accordingly. Those not - then you select force install from settings/applications

I also mentioned ext3 is hidden partition - cannot view the files in it on phone or on windows OS - why still ask same question all over again

thanks bro.. i understand all this.. but, using quick system info. my a2sd storage only 35.66MB. I already partition my sd card.  how to solve this? thanks
*
You said you partition ext3 1 GB ?? What is the reading on Total ? It should be at least 0.89 GB just as mine

You said 35.66 MB - is this your free figure ?? - which is unlikely as even you install up to 200 apps you wont even use up to 800 MB

yes, i partition my sd card to have 1gig ext3. total is onlu 35.66MB only bro.. thats why i feel weird... im using the"Acronis Disk Director Home" to build my partition.

just now i try to remove my sd card and check again.. I can view my a2sd anymore..

i check the log at config, all notes there disable..  although i already reenable it and then reboot..

can u assist me more.. thanks.
*
My only conclusion is your SD card is not partition correctly. I never use this Acronis software before - so cannot comment on it. Why don't you take the easy way and use rom manager to do it. Even at 512 MB - you can install more than 100 apps , which unlikely you will fill up as as I said many apps still do not have feature to install to hidden partition yet esp the old apps
