Not really, mine is delayed due to BNM system failure.. ==
They actually told me to come back after a few hours to get my card, even if I am not an existing Maybank cc holder..
She asked me to check back by Wed. Let's see how.

Hi guys quick question on the card.

I am having two cards; HSBC and Citibank just in case if once in a blue moon the card could not be processed I can use my Citibank since its different merchant.

I was planning to move to this maybank CC which gives two cards; amex and visa/master. So I was wondering since its from the same merchant, if lets say amex fails on me, does visa/master fails on me too since both its from the same merchant?

I'm just looking for two cards, limiting myself instead of having many.
*
why card cant be processed? if the merchant terminal cant read any card, then its the terminal/line problem.

QUOTE(NtahX @ May 1 2011, 01:20 PM)
I cannot terminate my petronas visa on the dot due to some of bills are autopay using this card. + the validity will expired next year
*
1. u can move current autopay from visa petronas to amex or visa mbb2.

2. u should cancel the card before expiry date so u wont be charged with next year gst.

whats the prob?

I've experienced this many times, so, its a valid reason to have few cards from different banks. No reason why the card can't be processed, sometime happened at petrol stations too.

BTW, am interested to replace my normal maybank gold card with this one, but I've 0% installment, will I be able to transfer those installments to this Dua?

No problem. Just cancel the autopay instruction and your credit card. They can't charge to a canceled credit card.

1. if i use maybank2kard amex on an online transaction on a weekend, will i be entitle to 5% rebate and 5x treatpoints ?
Yes. 5% rebate (assume if you have not hit your RM50 quota for the month) + 5x TP

QUOTE(turion64 @ May 1 2011, 03:19 PM)
2. i have read the TnC about foreign currency conversion charges for Maybank2card's Amex (2.5%). But i remember read it somewhere that it is (2.5% + 0.5%). wondering where does the 0.5% came from ?
2.5% is charged by American Express whilst 0.5% by Maybank.

QUOTE(turion64 @ May 1 2011, 03:19 PM)
3. i understand that using Maybank2card's Visa have the lowest foreign currency conversion rate. But will the Maybank2card Amex with 5% and 5x Treatpoints more worthwhile than Maybank2card's Visa since it have a higher conversion rate?
Yes. The return from MBB2 AMEX is actually more if you do the calculation. However, no everyone is willing to pay more in advance. Anyway, you can learn more about this via :

I left my MBB2 AMEX at Tesco cashier yesterday and I didn't notice it until today. Later after I realized it, I went to the customer service counter and retrieve the card. Luckily no unusual swipes made between the time and cross my fingers hard on this card.

Before I discovered, I made a call to MBB CS to block the card and now when I want to life the block, I need to fax a copy of the IC and authorization letter to their card centre. Somemore tomorrow is a non-working day! sweat.gif

Wow, that was a close call. Lucky the cashier honest.

Luckily that the cashier is ethical enough not to do any irresponsible swipes.

Called MBB CS to check if there's any unusual transaction happened during the card "lost" period and so far nothing suspicious yet.

I think should be safe since I have covered the 4 digits at the front and the 3 digits at the back. Have to monitor for few more days.

oh. my experienced is only bcoz dirty chip.

for installment, i'm not sure if u can transfer it. try ask the CS.
if cant, then u need to do BT to the mbb2.
pls do note the penalty fee for early termination of current installment.

Seldom use for online transaction. Better cover them pre-caution.

I used some small rounded sticky label to cover the numbers at both sides.

Regarding blocking the card, one can request temporary block of use for 12 hours. After that, the block will become permanent.

Reason being I don't want to register via web or thru those road show is because it is slow imo. Was planning to go for direct and apply.
