MBB now has 2 more card centres in Klang Valley, other that KL Main, which are:
1. Card Centre One Utama Shoppping Centre
2. Card Centre KLCC
Finally ! This is so much more convenient to me. 1Utama simply is just too far from the city centre.

Go convert the AMEX Gold CC to Maybankard 2 Cards. Not only Maybankards 2 cards gives you Travel Insurance, but your get 5X TP for any transactions and cash back 5%. As for CIMB, you got to go decide if CIMB promotions benefit you.
Not Maybankard 2 Gold though. It doesn't come with complimentary travel insurance. And by the way, CIMB kind of sucks these days.

i just want ask...# 5% Weekend cash back² when spend on Maybankard 2 American Express Card.
²A cap of RM50 per customer (Principal Cardmember) per month..............................what does this means???
Every purchases charged to your Maybankard 2 AMEX during weekend will get you additional 5% cash back on top of the usual RM1 = 5 Treatpoints. However, this cash back is capped at only RM50 per month. It means that even if you charge RM5k into your Maybankard 2 AMEX on the weekend in a calender month, you can only get a maximum cash back of RM50.

when you guys mentioned the conversion rate for the other cards, is the 2.5% interest already taken into factor?
Yes

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 21 2011, 01:19 PM)
I wonder if all cards imposed this conversion fee?  hmm.gif
Yes. The admin fee charged for transactions done in foreign currency vary from bank to bank. Please refer to the general Credit Card thread for the detailed list of foreign transaction admin fee imposed by each bank.

even though if transaction date is on saturday ... but posting date is on tuesday

we will still obtain?

cuz usually online's posting is slightly later
The 5% cash back will be given based on the transaction date and not the posting date.

I am having Maybankard 2 Cards GOLD. How can i upgrade it to Platinum? Does Maybank allow me to pledge FD for CC upgrade? How much FD do i need to put in?
Show them your payslips and let them do the review.

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Mar 24 2011, 09:54 AM)
just had a chat with amex and they mention, that all cards will receive 10k tp if you actively use either the amex or visa card.
This is good if true. I've been using both my Maybankard 2 AMEX and VISA like crazy since i got it back in late January.

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Mar 24 2011, 09:54 AM)
the tp will appear in the visa side, and tax will be charged 1 month after the activation of card.
I've been using the card for two months now and have yet to see the credit card service tax being charged to neither of my accounts. Ain't complaining though biggrin.gif

I can view my Maybankard 2 card account in Maybank2U now. I am a bit confused, the Total Credit Limit of my Gold Card is RM10K and the Total Credit Limit of the American Express Card is also RM10K. So, in Total my Credit Limit is RM20K? or RM10K is the combined limit for both cards?
It's combined. So it means that you credit limit for your Maybankard 2 AMEX & VISA is RM10,000 only.

if you have 40-50k in fd, why do u need installment for something that cost only 3k...
So that one can keep the money in the account to keep earning interest.

QUOTE(kei18kun @ Mar 25 2011, 06:24 PM)
how about Shell? since still have contest over there. will pump at Esso on April  thumbup.gif
All Shell stations accept AMEX, both at the kiosk and over the counter.

QUOTE(meteoraniac @ Mar 25 2011, 10:19 PM)
just received my MBB2 platinum after 10 working days...

Is it safe to say that the visa card is pretty much useless unless the merchant do not accept Amex?
Yes. You can say it like that but then, many places do not accept AMEX. You definitely have to use your MBB2 VISA someday, unless you have other VISA/MasterCard from other banks.

By the way, remember to always use the MBB2 VISA when you're overseas or whenever you buy something online and have to pay in foreign currency. Maybank VISA/MasterCard has the lowest admin fee and exchange rate of all the banks in Malaysia.

what do u mean expired? the paypal 5% not valid anymore?
I email to m2u and this the reply:
Sorry. I'm confused now. Were you talking about the special rebate given by Paypal ? 'cause i think there was such promotion (someone posted it) but expired already. But if you were talking about the usual 5% rebate given by Maybank to your MBB2 AMEX for spendings during the weekends, then yeah. You'll get the 5x TP + 5% rebate (assume you've not hit your monthly RM50 quota).

Anyone apply by faxing the form over to customer service? Just fax the form, ic and other bank credit card will do?
I applied mine through fax. And yes, just fax the form, IC and a photocopy of another credit card that you've been using for at least 1-year.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 11 2011, 09:33 PM)
wouldnt there be a replacement charge?
*
Ok guys, i just called Maybank and requested for a replacement card and i was being honest with him about the reason of me requesting for a replacement card. He said that Maybank usually only issue replacement card due to faulty chip or lost/stolen card. And yes, indeed there is a charge for each replacement card but he can waive the fee for me but my request is rather unusual and he can't waive the replacement card fee. So i decided not to proceed with it. Please update here if any of you manage to get a replacement card for your MBB2 AMEX due to the reason "my card doesn't have the word Platinum on it despite being a Platinum card" laugh.gif

Our cards without the Platinum is like those rare notes or stamps which have flaws and extremely  limited. You should go mint it and in 100 years it would be worth a lot of money, hahaha
Good point laugh.gif
