It is not there is no free access to KLIA PPL with UOB Privilege Banking. The requirement to be eligible for UOB Privilege Banking has been for increased from RM300K to minimum RM500K and current Preferred Platinum credit cards issued previously is no longer considered Prestigious. You want to enter KLIA PPL with a UOB Prestigious credit card, you need to be invited for their new Visa Infinite.

True, SCB VI is excellent for airport lounge access. But for people who don't fly often and deposit money in 12 months FD, UOB offering 3.6-3.7% interest for the past 1 year; and that's like 0.5% higher than SCB rate of 3.15%, so one would be losing out more than RM1K/year considering the fact one needs RM250K with SCB. Then again, one does not necessary needs to deposit RM250K with SCB to get their VI.

The moment OCBC and UOB stop their FD promos, I am going back to SCB, hahaha.

Bro, any reason why you are not considering Bank Rakyat which has higher interest rates?

BTW, I think CITI VS card still the best for Local Airports' Lounge access.

For local, only Amex Plat allows indefinite visits. For overall airport lounges, nothing beats SCB VI.
I believe most will agree. So technically Citi VS not really the best as there is limit to local and only 2 free pass per annum for other lounges.
Correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Yah, I saw your post where you did get pretty good rates from Bank Rakyat. No particular reason bro, just that Bank Rakyat somehow does not interest me.

The only thing I know is with Premier Miles, additional guest is with 20% discount. Don't know about the rest of the others...

If you are referring to AMEX's AMEX Platinum Credit Card or Charge Card, that one different league. Anytime better that most credit cards out there with 2X MR points (which equates to unlimited cash back of 1% and if sign up for Turbo points 1.5%) PLUS 10X MR at participating merchants (or 5% unlimited cash back). However, to get the annual fee waived one needs to spend a considerable sum with it. Anyway, bro, did you get your AMEX Plat annual fee waived and yes how much you spent a year with it?

As for AMEX Kris Flyer, it also offer unlimited access to our local airport lounges. Anyone manage to get the annual fee waived? If yes, how much did you spend with it.

As for HLB VS, since mid last year (when it was still EON Bank), the card offered unlimited access to KLIA and LCCT PPL and HLB extended the promo until end June this year. This best thing is, HLB reduced the minimum income requirement from RM180K to RM80K! On paper the card looks great with 1.5X bonus Points for local spending and 2X for overseas PLUS 1% cash back too for overseas spending. And the Enrich miles conversion is even better than Citi PremierMiles VS. The HLB VS comes with 3 Priority Pass Membership access to airport lounges worldwide compared to Citi PremierMiles 2 times.

Having said that, I seldom use my HLB VS since I have Maybankard 2 AMEX which earns me 5X TP everyday for my local transactions. But HLB was kind enough to waive my annual fee end of last year even tho I did not even come close to spending RM30K with it to get auto annual fee waiver.

Why I can't see any section of the HLB web that display RM80k min income to apply the HLB VS?

you are right, it is no longer there in HLB website but you can always call HLB CS to confirm. Maybe they realized that by reducing the annual income requirement they are also attracting people to get the card just for free access to PPL lounge, hahaha
