Good news!!!
HL Visa Signature has extend the the lounge access (unlimited) to KLIA, LCCT, Senai & Singapore Changi Airport The Green Market lounge but no Priority Pass
*
LCCT too, that's great, at least it offers something that is really considered a privilege compared to their other non Biz cards.

However, I want to cancel my HLB Visa Signature before the anniversary, have not even use it once since they waive my annual fee end of last year.

By end of 2012, there will be a PPL at Penang airport. Next year two more PPL at KK and Kuching airport. Hopefully there will be a card that provide complimentary accesses to all PPL in Malaysia.
*
Most likely those with Priority Pass Membership Card should be able to enter.

Received a goodwill 10000 Miles point from Citibank due to the wrong info given by their CS (without me requesting anything. TQ citibank). Luckily I have a black and white record  smile.gif

I have added a note to all my related posts that the 2x Priority Pass (Premier Miles) can be used for LCCT PPL for the readers here.
*
Nice of Citi to give you 10,000 Miles points.

Bro, I feel it is kind of a "waste" to use one out of the two free entries with the Citi issued PPM for LCCT.

There's mini lounge area by MasterCard Premium at KLIA (reported in The Sun)... Free access for World MasterCard and MasterCard Premium cardholders.
*
haha, finally HSBC Premier World MasterCard can enjoy FREE drinks at KLIA.

Anyway, below taken from MAHB website:

Aside from the contest MasterCard provides exclusive MasterCard lounges at KLIA. World MasterCard cardholders will be able to access this exclusive lounge to rest and relax upon presenting their World MasterCard branded card at the registration counter.

Cardholders who charge a minimum of RM250.00 to their MasterCard branded cards at participating retail outlets and food and beverage outlets in KLIA will also be eligible to enjoy the lounge.

So those who spend RM250 with their MasterCard also gets to enter the MC Exclusive Lounge smile.gif

Do supplementary cardholders of SCB Preferred World MasterCard enjoy this benefit too or only for principle cardholder ?
This lounge is diff from PPL?
*
Bro, good question in regards to the Supp card. This lounge is by MasterCard and not by PPL the way I understand it.

And good news for all MasterCard member, spend RM250 with any MasterCard and you'll be entitled to enter MasterCard Exclusive Lounge at KLIA for FREE. Click here to read about it at my latest article Spend RM250 at Malaysia International Airports with your MasterCard and Double Your Chance to Win RM1,000,000 Shopping Spree

Could only find PPL and airline-owned lounges at the KLIA satellite building, based on KLIA website(maybe not updated).
*
For all we know, it might just be a "temporary" lounge during the campaign period. Just have to wait for someone to update us.

Hardly use KLIA as I normally travel by AirAsia and Firefly. So would like to access all other PPL (esp LCCT) in the country.
*
Then time to get the AMEX Platinum Credit Card, first year annual fee is waived. Now the income requirement is RM60Kpa. ** Edited** Supp card also can enter LCCT for FREE.

or Kris Flyer, chances of annual fee waiver higher since it is a gold card. 1st year annual fee also waived.

Premium corner offers cardholders a place to relax before their flights

MASTERCARD Worldwide recently launched the MasterCard Premium Corner at KLIA.

Located in the satellite terminal, the first-ever MasterCard Premium Corner is exclusively for World MasterCard and MasterCard Premium cardholders to rest and relax before departing on their journey. In addition, MasterCard cardholders will be kept up to date on the latest promotions and news. With comfortable seating areas, free Wi-Fi, refreshments and numerous iPads at their service, cardholders can be assured that their wait at the airport will not be a tedious one.

MasterCard Worldwide Malaysia and Brunei vice-president and senior country manager Jim Cheah said, “MasterCard is delighted to present the Premium Corner for our cardholders to get themselves organised and relaxed before flying off.

“As part of our efforts to continually provide special privileges to cardholders, we hope they will appreciate this exclusive premium corner. It also provides us with a channel to convey the latest privileges and benefits available to our cardholders.”

I am still trying to find the contact number for Mastercard Malaysia to enquire about sup cardholder accessing this facility but no luck.

Received an offer from UOB agent for their Preferred Plat card with the PPL (KLIA, LCCT, Senai & Langkawi) benefit still intact. Double asked the agent and she verified with her boss that its there.

Anyone can vouch otherwise on their recent visit to these PPL? Their follow up email also contains attached pamphlet as ref.
*
Previously, the non Privilege Banking UOB Preferred Plat access to LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge got monthly quota and it does finish pretty quick.

Up to last month the Preferred Plat did offer a promotion where if you spend RM2K in August and September, they will give you 2 FREE access to PPL.

http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/promotions...rd31072012.html

So, if the Preferred Plat can enter LCCT PPL for FREE, why have the above promo? Hope this question answers your question tongue.gif

This was mentioned by b00n previously.

Even better, confirmed with UOB Plat CS this instant that for new to bank customers which Preferred Plat card approved from July till Dec 2012, are entitled for 2x ONLY free entry to all the PPL in Msia until July 2013. Just swipe 3x within 60 days from the approval date.

This is entirely new promotion for new to bank customer. However not that good attractive since we have other options to consider.
Already applied, pending approval. However its been 3 weeks+ but no update from the CS yet. Awaiting gud news, finger crossed.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Just read the above, I guess with this promo, there should not be any quota imposed.

As for the AMEX plat application, call 1800 88 9559 and check the status.

No, not for Citi Cash Back Plat. But bro, your PremierMiles still gives you access to KLIA PPL. Citibank Platinum Visa and MasterCard do grant free access to KLIA PPL.

Took my family to Hong Kong & Macau (click here to read my article) recently and the LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge inside the departure hall (after immigration) did not open until after 6am. So, I had to pay for my coffee while waiting to board the plane mad.gif

And in Hong Kong, the Traveler's Lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport would only allow me to use one of my Priority Pas Membership Card for a FREE entry sad.gif

Hi All Sifu,

If I had 2 card with me able to let me enter KLIA premier lounge. Could I let my partner in? I had CIMB Prime and StandChart Business Platinum. Will they check? As I know, CIMB require advance booking by call in to get confirmation letter and standchart require swipe on the spot. Did any 1 did that before?
*
Should not be a problem getting entries into KLIA and LCCT PPL with cards from different issues. Done that many times.

I just applied UOB Visa Infinite yesterday. They are now giving 6x complimentary entry to airport lounges a year (Priority pass), but it's still better than my citibank PM which is 2x only. (Dear admin please update this info)

QUOTE(Explorer II @ Dec 5 2012, 08:22 AM)
Could it be that the UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite grants unlimited entries to PP lounges, whereas the Non Privilege Banking Visa Infinite grants 6 times entries? Even the design of the two cards are totally different.
*
I called UOB PB CS and yes, my PB UOB VI has unlimited entries with the PPM whereas non PB VI has only 6 FREE entries per year.

after reading GenX blogs recently, i am crazy collecting cards now, just got SC 3 cards, OCBC titanium, MAybankard 2 cards....and still looking for more.....
*
Bro, the SCB cards gives you cash in advance and the OCBC and MBB 2 Combo is a great combo, so you not crazy collecting cards yet.... but very sensible. To be like crazy (like me) is like not wanting to let go of my AMEX Gold Charge card just because I like the Member Since 88 and paying GST for nothing doh.gif

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Dec 8 2012, 07:50 PM)
Just received my Priority Pass Card today.

Right now I do have 2 PP Card from Maybank... tongue.gif
*
I also have 2 PPM card from Maybank - they send me a new one for my MBB VI last month. The previous one expired!!! Maybe it has something to do with needing to spend RM50K for annual fee waiver and those not willing to pay the annual fee may cancel the card and that's why the PPM is good for a year only.

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Dec 8 2012, 10:17 PM)
Can someone update this information in the 1st page?
Maybank WMC - free unlimited access PP cards in Malaysia.
*
Ok, will do it.

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Dec 10 2012, 09:39 AM)
Honestly, my annual income do not fullfiled the requirement of the said card, I got that card before BNM implemented the rules.
*
I got my VI after BNM ruling came into effect and was unemployed at that time (still is) sweat.gif And it's not via Private Banking. I was informed by a MBB PB staff that nowadays only need RM250K to get Private Banking Status and they do issued the VI and WMC for FREE smile.gif

QUOTE(Explorer II @ Dec 11 2012, 12:20 PM)
Haha.. Thank you, Bro. I know this is one of your favourite cards, besides your Maybankard 2. smile.gif

By the way, did you have to fill any forms for the Starwood Privilege Card?
*
MBB VI is really great for Enrich Miles, pspfan will agree to this. Late last month I converted my MBB VI TP to Enrich Miles and got myself 3 free return tickets to Melbourne with Enrich Miles 50% Sale ( 1 for my daughter (from Melbourne) and 2 for myself (from KL) - economy class but the airport tax was RM1140 per return ticket!!!) smile.gif

YES, you can redeem Enrich Miles for your family online without needing to transfer the Enrich Miles to them and paying the transfer fee (if not mistaken, RM0.40/Enrich Mile).

As for the Starwood, mine was sent to me later. Call MBB Premier CS (number behind card) when you get the card and I can guarantee that you will also love MBB Premier CS service. It's 100 times better than MBB Platinum CS.

Those of you who have the UOB, Standard Chartered Bank and Alliance Bank Visa Infinite may want to read my article below:

Click here to read my article Maybank Visa Infinite vs UOB Bank Visa Infinite

And after reading the article mentioned above, I bet you would want to go get the Maybank Visa Infinite too even though it only grants you 5 times FREE access with the Priority Pass Memberhsip card tongue.gif

QUOTE(tishaban @ Dec 16 2012, 11:53 AM)
Between this and the Amex credit cards I think the Amex is still better for collecting Enrich miles. At 5x membership rewards for normal grocery/fuel transactions and 5.6 membership rewards per Enrich mile that's almost 1 to 1. For non grocery/fuel transactions it's 2x membership rewards which is the same as MBB VI but MR > TP for miles...

I'm eyeing the 50% sale too, 60k miles to LAX biz class! biggrin.gif Last I used it was in 2010 and got biz class to CDG which was fun biggrin.gif
*
Bro, what you mentioned above abour 5X MR for selected transaction locally is true. But at places where you only earn 2X MR, the MBB VI 2XTP still beats AMEX 2XMR since we need less TP to convert to Enrich Miles with the MBB VI.

Having said the above, for rewards points earned from local transactions, the entry level Maybankard 2 AMEX Gold credit card 5X TP for any type of transaction beats both the AMEX Plat (for 2X MR) and MBB VI when it comes to converting to Enrich Miles, hahaha.

However, for overseas transactions, it's RM0.90 spending = RM1 Enrich Miles with the MBB VI AND I bet you won't be using your AMEX overseas and pay 2.5% conversion fee (unless one is being reimbursed by his/her company) and earn 2X MR vs. MBB VI 5X TP right?

More importantly, even with AMEX 5X MR for selected transactions (or even 5X TP with MBB 2 AMEX and MBB VI), I bet it is more worthwhile to go redeem it for Cash Back (200MR = RM1) instead of converting to Enrich Miles (unless MA having Enrich Mile Sale). Do a calculation the next time you want to convert your MR to Enrich Miles and you will see what I mean.

Please read the fine print of your Diners card - particularly on lounge access.
Taken from the website (Self explanatory)

"Travel and spend overseas with your Diners Club card to enjoy Access to Diners Club Airport Lounges worldwide. Come this September 2012, just charge a minimum of RM3,000 to your Diners Club card while you are traveling oversea and the Airport Lounge fee will be waived in your statement. Terms & conditions apply.

Effective Date: 01 September, 2012"

Updated first post. I wonder how much is Diner's overseas conversion versus other credit cards.
