hi all,

after google citibank website. I notice benefit for accessing the louges as below:

Plaza Premium Lounges
Unlimited complimentary visits in KLIA, LCCT, Senai and Langkawi per calendar year with your Citibank PremierMiles Card.

But from Post #1 mention - Citibank Premier Miles - Access to KLIA or LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA 12 times (combined) a year.

My understanding is now(based on citi website) access to KLIA, LCCT, Senai and Langkawi now is not limit to 12 times. Am i correct? Any card members can advice

recently what i got reply from HLB,
seem the Annual fee of HLB Visa signature has been raise up to RM600 Per year?

What mean by Prestige Banking?

Odd that the email you received still mentioned EON Bank.

Prestige Banking was EON Bank's term for Privilege/Premier Banking. HLB call it Priority Banking.

As for the annual fee, actually it is lower now at RM600 compared to EON Bank's time when it was RM800.

Noted the email did mentioned the Priority Pass Membership card is discontinued. And you better go check if the HLB VS allows you free access to KLIA and LCCT, last time the promo for unlimited access was until 30 June 2012.

Lounges does allow your family members although they are not card holder???
They did not ask anything? or try to stop?

I would use my credit cards (not PPM card) to get my children free entries to KLIA or LCCT PPL. One credit card = one free entry.

But at Changi T1 SkyView Lounge, they won't let me use my Priority Pass Membership cards for other people (I have 3 but they only allow 1 free entry at any one time).

UOB conditional PPL reward huh.gif

The UOB offer got to spend total RM4000 in August and September, but still better than some card requiring the card holder to spend RM100K/year.

Recently I published my review of the UOB Visa Infinite in my article titled UOB Privilege Banking Visa Infinite & Retirement where it earns the cardholder 5X UniRinggit for overseas and comes with the Priority Pass Membership Card which grants unlimited entries.

And today I was told at my blog that there is another Visa Infinite in the market that grants unlimited free entries to airport lounges worldwide, and it's by Alliance Bank. To learn more on the Alliance Bank Visa Infinite and other credit cards granting Free entries to airport lounge, click here.

So now we have 3 Ultimate Airport Lounge Credit Card - Alliance Bank VI, SCB VI and UOB VI.

I did see the AEON banner last month at JJ (now AEON). I must say the 6X FOC access to PPL is a very good benefit for a Gold card.

Does anyone have Stanchart VI card? I saw on the main page that they have unlimited Priority Pass access worldwide. I'm looking for a card that can give me that since my company doesn't normally pay for business class flights :-(  I have a stanchart platinum that I took just because of the KLIA premier lounge access but that place is really really crap. I'd rather hang out at Starbucks or Coffeebean.
*
The StanChart Visa Infinite is issued to SCB Priority Banking customers and also those who have x amount in outstanding housing loans with SCB.

Want to see what other cards that grants you unlimited access to airport lounge worldwide click here to my article on Free Airport Lounge access with Malaysia Credit Cards - updated August 2012

Gen-X, did u see anywhere mention amex plat able to enter HK airport lounge (The Travelers' Lounge)  fOC?
Coz the lady at the counter told me we can access the lounge using amex.
*
Bro, I don't have AMEX Plat so I don't know but it seems that AMEX Plat do offer free access to many airport lounge worldwide. Maybe pspfan and b00n can assist you here and would be nice if someone can give us link listing AMEX Plat access to all the airport lounges worldwide.

Malaysia's Amex Platinum card does offer international aiport lounge access outside of MAlaysia but can't remember the entire list. However, I think Maybank should bring the Malaysian Amex Platinum card up to the same level as other countries Amex Platinum card.

For example, if you have the UK Amex Platinum card, you are automatically given a Priority Pass Card for you as well as your supplementary cardholders which means your supplementary cardholder can access airport lounges worldwide on their own. On top of that, the UK Amex Platinum card's Priority Pass card allows you to bring in one guest free of charge! So you can bring in one guest, your supplementary cardholder can also bring in one guest to any of the Priority Pass lounges worldwide. Way better than Maybank's Amex Platinum Card or StanChart's Priority Pass or Alliance Banks Priority Pass cards!
*
Bro, any AMEX Plat with annual fee cannot compare lah with Alliance VI which is FOC with just RM30K (or less than USD10K) yearly spending and FOC for PB customers.

SCB VI, usually they waive the annual fee with just RM10K spending (that's what I was told by my previous RM).

AMEX Plat is truly a Prestigious card and for those who are not cheap skates like me, hahaha.

Actually you don't always have to pay annual fee for Amex Platinum charge card. Although it is not mentioned, they do waive annual fee for certain cardholders and offer special/reduced points redemption towards the annual fee also. So effectively you do get it free just by using it.

SCB VI is still given free to all Priority customers regardless of annual spend.
*
Mind elaborating the requirements to qualify for the "certain cardholders" to get the annual fee waived for AMEX plat Charged Card? RM50K spending per year enough?

Bro call Maybank Marketing Centre tomorrow and ask them to issue you the Visa Infinite wink.gif 2 weeks maybe just in time, but you got to follow up constantly. Then again MBB VI may be issued in time but not the PPL card.

RM50K spending a year is not even enough to qualify for the reduced points redemption for the annual fee.

Those who have Maybank Private Wealth Management investments exceeding 7 figures will have their annual fee waived and be invited for expression of interest in the Centurion Card.

*
So, for people like me, the FREE SCB VI and Alliance Bank VI not requiring one to have of more than 7 figures AUM with MBB way better than the no annual fee waiver (except for certain cardholder) AMEX Charge Card tongue.gif

And for those people exceeding 7 figures net worth, they would be flying Business or First Class which grants them access to the airline lounge anyway, so why would they be bothered with credit cards that give free access to airport lounge.

QUOTE(audionutter @ Aug 7 2012, 08:48 AM)
Actually, there are a lot of people with cash deposits of more than one million in Malaysia. Once when I was at a bank, the person ahead of me was discussing something and his current account balance was more than one million! Banker tried to get him to invest in something but he kept declining saying he prefers to keep it in current account even though interest was minimal!

So maybe not everyone with 7 figure sums would fly business or first class anyway? Especially when the ticket costs at least 3 or 4 times more than economy class?? Even with the one for one offer in business or first!

I remember reading an article that said ringgit millionaires very common and even US dollar millionaires in Malaysia is common. Certainly in my line of work I come across so many ringgit millionaires every day. I think we all wish we could be like them! thumbup.gif

So yes, for ordinary people like us the Alliance Bank VI is good. Do you have to be a Premier/Priority customer or can you just apply for the VI?
*
Bro, you mentioned exceeding 7 figures, i.e. minimum 10,000,000. How many Malaysians have that kind of money with a particular bank.

RM1M net worth normal and I agree those who have only RM1M net worth would fly budget airline like Air Asia wink.gif

For Alliance VI, minimum income requirement RM150K/year - that's the previous requirement for Platinum credit cards years ago smile.gif

the HLB Plat is Platinum Business Card. And I do recall seeing EON VS in the list. Will verify once again if I drop by PPL in KLIA. Maybe they haven't changed it to HLB VS which is not in the brochure. But in HLB website, the card is entitled till June 12.
*
HLB Plat Biz can enter LCCT, that's good. As for HLB VS, like you mentioned - supposed to have ended in June.

Anyway, going to post your informative list at post#1 but amending the HLB Plat to Biz Plat and removing HLB VS.

I got news for Citibank PremierMiles and Platinum credit cardholders. I was informed today that effective November, these cards no longer grant FREE access to LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge. KLIA PPL yes, still applicable.

But I also got good news, it seems that AMEX Platinum (without the Maybankard word for those who don't know) Supp cards can enter free into LCCT PPL.

that is bad news for me. the only reason i am still keeping the PM is due to the PPL access. i already sent a message through citibank online about this matter. if PM is no longer accepted at LCCT PPL, i wonder if they now allow the 2x prority pass.
*
Bro, 2X Priority Pass sure can.

haha, both of you should go get Diners international tongue.gif But the food at LCCT PPL not worth the RM50 GST. Had the Nasi Lemak there this morning and the sambal was too salty and not sweet.

Today I was at Singapore T1, went to check out Rainforest and did not like the ambiance. Actually I went there to see if I can get a FREE nap but they charge something like SGD36 for the room. So went back to my usual Changi Skyview Airport Lounge where it was bright and more "spacious".

If you are referring to my Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 Skyview Lounge article, yes I mentioned they won't let me use all my three PPM cards at the same time. And I mentioned my daughter entered with my wife i.e. gave my free access to my youngest daughter using one of the 3 PPM cards.
