Paying TM bills via TMOnline using OCBC ti also gives you 5%.
Try email their CS, quite responsive.

Oops..sorry that i didn't realize that. I was just glancing through the posts. The CS officer that i dealt with didn't seem supportive of me appealing for the card. I think i'll just wait for another 3 months and apply again. Thanks for the advice!  rclxms.gif

U don't need the wait 3 months. I talked to the CS about appealing and she said they cannot help me to appeal. Unlike MBB, CS can appeal on behalf of the cardholder.
So what you need to do is to write A PAGE letter which I did, stating your current condition. Who is your primary bank, your number of credit cards, how do you pay them ( in full or half or w/e), do you have any loans, who you stay with, why do you wan to have their cards (crap this out), willing to cancel other card if they approve( something like that), do you have any loans with any other banks.

And submit it together with all the documents required for card application. Please also provide the 2 months MMB cc statement as supporting of what you written on your letter.

And pray for the best. OCBC has the strictest approval =.=.

my application was rather smooth and easy when the time i applied, it's my first card, and i don't really reach their minimum salary requirement (basic only).. and yet my card get approves within a week..

business is going good at OCBC huh?

Assume OCBC issues 20,000 Titanium Master Card and 70% pay before the due date and they max at RM50 rebate per month.
i.e. 20,000*70% x RM50 = RM 700,000 per month.

OCBC "lost" to "calculative" holders amounting to RM 700,000 per month.

what u don't see or calculate is those profits they are making from the merchants.

the more cards in market = the more chances it got swipe and earn commission from merchants..

it's the same logic like some ppl said "instead of concentrating how to save money, why dun u concentrate on making more income"..

OCBC is facing intense competition from MBB2Kard. If it reduce its rebates, it will become laughing stock.
And now, it is a must card to all Malaysian as it gives 5% rebate to the utilities usage.
But, it ultimates goal is to earn and so it is probable that the rebate may reduce.

One of the way is to stop issue this card and the existing holders still enjoy the benefit as per Standard Chartered Bank Titanium card (5% rebate) as I read it in other thread. (correct me if I m wrong).

So, please apply this card as soon as possible. wink.gif
