wonder whether this phone will really get into the market or stay as concept phone

this phone uses amoled techology. at the moment this technology is very expensive unless they mass-produce it. but it'll take time and definitely in the beginning it'll be very very expensive. if they can't lower the cost, then i think it'll stay as a concept phone because of the question of affordability.

Added on June 10, 2011, 4:21 pmahh.. after 1 day testing, feel statisfied enough with cyanogen mod 7.1 nightly v0.3, fast fast fast. 200 ++ apps installed , still going smooth with Go!Launcher Ex.

I sent mine to Samsung Service Centre last week. Upgraded to froyo 2.2 for free..

connect yr phone n use kies to update it (mine doesnt work)..

i cant update through kies...so i think i want do it myself with odin....

To fellow i5500 owners, I'm posting here to ask some questions though.

2 of my colleagues using i5500, still stuck at Eclair.
Just wonder besides the official Froyo ROM, any custom ROM recommended?
Or the official Froyo ROM already very speedy?

I'm checking MAD ROMs, and they have so many releases.
The newer, the better it is?

custom froyo : take 2.0.9 final motafoca or Dashblack 2.3 / 2.4 (read the changelog)
gingerbread : still in development but close to release. 98% function works, perf smooth. ~ in my opinion this is the best.

anywhere i can find the 2.2 official rom? i read that you guys said its out...
