Inspira 2.0 or 1.8??

Just faxed my pay slip and other details to the SA for her to do my processing....haiz...must check with her how long to wait to get car...otherwise, i go to her place and test drive everyday until my car arrives...LOL.

i dont get overheat issue on my prev Jazz, i dont hear any issue on CVT from audi, nissan n etc too. its a design flaw by mitsubishi on the lancer from the start.

where "did u not hear" all these stuff? any source to backup the fact of the super duper reliability of these other car makes CVT? ah..btw, Mitsu got the CVT gearbox from Jatco (same as Nissan)...

It's not a design flaw lar...other cars also have CVT problem...go google more. Nissan cars also have a lot of CVT problems starting from Murano, but i think they have improved a lot since then. But the problems are there...even in Slyphys...when CVT overheats, car will slow down to snail pace to prevent overheating.

The gearbox in Inspira is from Nissan anyway. Nissan owns JATCO which makes the CVT....Nissan is a forerunner in CVT...even upcoming Proton cars will be using Nissan's CVT i believe....there was some MOU signed between Proton and Nissan recently, which i believed is to discuss on this. New Exora and Persona R will be coming up with Nissan's CVT.

The key is, just don't drive like a mad man....if you want to drive like mad man, best option for you is manual transmissions.

Damn.. have to call Jatco who supplies to cvt to complain. Slphy also will get this same issue.. then again... those who get slyphy won't rev it like those who get a mivec...

Knowing what crazy drivers who will drive mivec, they added a pre-emptive warning system. It did not blow up right? Better than honda ones that just fail prematurely... without warning.

Actually this Inspira is just a normal family sedan, why are we treating it as Evo X ah?

You happy got highway to test your car, mine in Miri, speeding 100KM/h for 2 minute also no chance. until now i only can rev my car not come to 3k RPM. still virgin even my milage is 2k now.. LoL

Yes, it probably happens a lot more to Lancer then Slyphys due to driver's problem...like our friend's brother there...lol.

My brother in law drives a Nissan Grand Livina with CVT, so far haven't heard him complain anything, and he drives to work in Genting!

For ur usage. Fak the SA kao kao if u got even one untick!
Dont be like me, too excited to take the car until din check paint properly! Got many scratches, even inside of the cabin!

come on guys, i dont mean to attack inspira or anything particularly. as for my jazz, never have issue for the CVT even i clocked more than 100000km b4 i sold it.

to be honest. i did revved the inspira to overtake cars and engine braking n etc. no issue. the overheating only arise when i maintain at 210+kmh near the alor gajah stretch with partial throttle. so the rpm is definitely not high rev. after 5mins at that speed, there goes the warning light. on the way back from tangkak to KL, i maintain at cruising speed around 180-200kmh. no issues. its weird considering the 10+kmh threshold margin. but i believe the overheating is just a warning it went up to the safety temp point. its definitely not hot enuff like overheating engine oil to break the oil molecules.

Excellent point. I am using it as normal family sedan...no worries for me, hehe....120km-140km/h at most on highway.

Most importantly, can fly up Genting no problem whlie leaving the Dugong and City behind biting my dust crawling like snails.

hahahaha, i told him its okay. nothing to paranoid about. i think he is a little disappointed considering proton didnt solve the overheat prob completely from mitsu as they claimed. lol.

i have to agree to this, many dugong, city, forte or even myvi wanna play with me. they are just wasting my time.
