These are very basic materials which can be obtained at the conventional stationary outlets. smile.gif

You can check out Vision Art at the Sunway Pyramid area, as well as the shops in P.J. Leisure Commercial Square (the old Taylors College).

BTW, which brand & type of cutter & blade combination are you guys using? unsure.gif

I am looking for one that is specifically good & effective (for model making).

Regards.

Hi,im new here. Hope can get some help.
IM interested to enroll in architecture at TU. Is the school still offering 2+1 twinning?
And for TU, what are the affliated school for part 2?
And yes, one more qn, whats the average age group in the architecture classes. I will be turning 23 next year and Im afraid I may be too old to go on this architecture route.
Maybe some kind soul here can give me some feedback and answers, TIA

i. i dont think they're offering the 2+1 anymore.
ii. melbourne university.
iii. i dont know. but there's no sweet age for architecture. people just learn while they're young because it's easier. but if architecture is ur passion, it doesnt matter how old u are. brad pitt started learning architecture in the late 30s. some established architects also started late.

there's a logbook that u have to fill in, which lists the requirements from LAM that u need to satisfy. some people take less than 2 years, others need 3-5 years, some may take 6-7 years. it depends on the level of exposure u gain at the office. and do note that u cant practice alone during this period. u have to go under a part 3 architect as ur supervisor.

u can ask tehtmc for more details on this.

It's Curtin University Sarawak campus. They only have business & engineering courses there.
Their architecture course is only offered in the main campus in Perth.

I think the longer you leave it, the harder it gets, cos a lot of it is a revision of what you did in the degree course. It helps if your memory of the stuff you learned from uni is still fresh.
I did mine exactly after 2 years.

In this case (about repeatedly failing over & over again), I am more concerned as to the reason "why" the candidates did not/could not make it through the Part III examination... whistling.gif (Is there a particular reason?)

Normally what are the requirements to pass? (If you have any idea.)

Regards.

unfortunately, no. u need a 5 year architectural degree to become one. if u take the path u just mentioned, u'll be a building surveyor with a masters in architecture. that's it.

It is a relatively new field. In a nutshell, a building surveyor carries out studies/assessment/appraisal of buildings with a view to coming up with improvements to make them perform better. Architects are also qualified to do the job, in fact PAM conducts short courses on the subject. However, there is not much scope for building surveyor in this country yet, unlike in developed countries.
