i just got my Galaxy s2 yesterday, wanna ask if i take the data plan 100mb RM18, only use for fb... will it easy to finish?

100mb ? Not sure, but i am sure it's enough for whatsapp. I still recommend you take 500MB Unlimited 3G Internet from U Mobile @ RM28 with FREE 90 SMS with 100MIN free call.

90 days validity

the "old" hotlink plan - launched in April 2011 - got 90 days validity for minimum RM5 top up or hot ticket, but no grace period (so line cancelled if you did not top up again by day 90)

the "new" hotlink plan also 90 days, plus 50 days grace period - or that i understood it

STAYING ACTIVE

Q26: What does staying active mean?
A: You can call, SMS and use your balance ANYTIME within this period.

Q27: How do I stay active?
A: To stay active and avoid service cancellation, just top up airtime credit or Hot Tickets of minimum RM5 before the service cancellation date (Except SOS, SATU & Ask-A-Top-Up). To check the service cancellation date, dial *122#.

Q28: What happens if I top up airtime credit or with a Hot Ticket of less than RM5? Will my validity be extended to 90 days as well
A: No. The extension of 90 days validity is only applicable with a minimum top-up of RM5 airtime credit or Hot Ticket.

Q29: Will my validity be extended to 90 days if I top up via SOS/Share a Top Up/Ask a Top Up?
A: No. The validity extension is only applicable for airtime credit top-ups and Hot Ticket.

Q30: What happens if I don't top up airtime credit or with a Hot Ticket before my line expires (Dial *122# to check the expiry date)?
A: Your line/number will be cancelled. If you wish to buy a new Hotlink plan, do visit our Maxis Centre or Hotlink dealers.

The speed for maxis is lovely i am using it on my ipad now 500MB with HYC very stable and fast. I seen my fren using celcom or digi its slow.

Hotlink do not have call forwarding

DiGi and Um have it, Celcom i dunno

Do be careful that maxis will charge you extra pay per use if you exceed the 100mb limit.

Has anybody tested the 50 days grace period yet? we know maxis sometimes can be unreliable. doh.gif

It's enough. use opera summore surely enough




btw, im on hotlink and i can't connect to internet using 'maxis 3g internet' on opera mini 6. if use opera mobile can connect.

it may be too early to test it, cos quite newly introduced

meanwhile, can call 122 and press 1 for balance, then see what announcement you get

eh guise. what is this, i registered a supp line for my gf, and we've been using it since, with the knowledge of it being free calls (15hrs) between each other

yet when the bill turns up, they're still charging me for every single call, even though if they want to charge me, they shouldve charge me for calls after those free 15 hrs right? seriously for no reason I was charged at least 150 on the supp line, and she's been calling me only none else, according to the bill.

@_@?!?! Is this the way maxis wants to suck money?

Please read the billing properly. Yes they will charge but at the bottom end of the bill they will give discount and rebate for all the calls and sms.
