Maxis just introduce another scam plan. Why do they always say unlimited when there's FUP?

Telcos will use words like "limitless" or " unlimited" all the time, however as users, we should be the wise ones in deciding which works for us.
Saw the article earlier on their new plan & I agree it's not that bad. I am on their Talkmore 78 without data as I use wi-if most of time at home. I just called in to switch to their lite plan as they offer free 1GB. I was always worried with pay per use charges however with 1GB they advised me I will not be subjected to pay per use charges as the speed will be throttled. I am not worried so much on the FUP as I believe I won't require more than 3000 minutes / SMS plus most of the people I call are Maxis users as well. |

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ May 30 2014, 10:55 AM) Hi Guys, It depends on how much is your total commitment now vs the new One plan lite. Check with guys, I''m currently holding the postpaid for 1gb data plan and RM30 Phone plan. I'm wondering will I get benefit if I change to one data plan lite? Thanks! I guess, you are currently paying about RM 78 as the 1GB data standalone itself would cost RM 48. Not sure which voice plan you are on as i know Maxis has a lot of legacy plans however i believe you will gain on the extra minutes and sms within Maxis network if you are on the One Plan (lite) based on my assumption on the plan you are on currently. |

previously if surf more 50 + talk more 28, if can, also rm78, now rm78 also but gv 1gb data and unlimited call only to maxis-maxis but charge if to other telco...
feel celcom first rm40 for 266 min call + rm38 for 1gb data = rm78 worth more.... |

To me it all depends on our own usage as well as we should always make it a point to check our bills and understand our own usage pattern.
Majority of my friends & family members are on Maxis network as such, it will be better for me to use the One lite plan. I may not use 3000 minutes or 3000 sms but at least I will be getting more for what I am paying now especially the 1GB data. |

Hello. I'm interested in switching from DiGi prepaid to Hotlink. Can I perform the switch at a Hotlink dealer store? Thanks.

QUOTE(soulmad @ Jun 2 2014, 02:43 PM) I'm a big fan of HTC myself (using HTC One M7) currently and eyeing for the HTC One M8 for my next upgrade but not anytime soon cause my M7 is fairly young (only bought it in January) and I still love using it!Maxis offers both devices starting from RM799 https://new.maxis.com.my/en/personal/device...tc/htc-one.html and RM1,499 https://new.maxis.com.my/en/personal/device...htc-one-m8.html respectively. It all boils down to your personal preference really This post has been edited by Gorobei: Jun 2 2014, 05:58 PM |

I think not any Hotlink dealer can assist you with the switching. From https://new.maxis.com.my/en/personal/mobile...ortability.html states switching must be done at a Maxis Centre or a Maxis Exclusive Partner. You can check the nearest location from https://new.maxis.com.my/en/personal/suppor...re-locator.html |

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jun 4 2014, 09:25 AM) if you talk on phone to maxis more than 4 hours per month, then switch to One Plan Lite (RM 78)Surfmore + 4 hours to Maxis = 50 + 240*0.12 = 78.8 if you talk on phone to other network more than 6.5 hours per month, then switch to One Plan (RM 128) Surfmore + 6.5 hours to other = 50 + 390*0.2 = 128 For me, with wifi in office and home, 1GB data per month more than enough. I heard Maxis is also having a trade up offer for iPhone 5S. Any good deals?
