I'm on Hotlink prepaid currently. But thinking of porting out from maxis too. Due to 64kbps is unstable

Mind sharing your experience with maxis before the decision of porting out? notworthy.gif

Hmm you dont need to inform banks etc. If you direct debit to pay bills, when you port out, the maxis customer service team will make sure you clear all your owing amount, then they will cancel your debit service / settle with the bank. When all is done at maxis' end, you can then port in to another telco. MNPs are quite easy nowadays...

You actually need to inform your bank whenever you switch to any telco because the bank needs to update it in their database for TAC SMS purposes. If not, you won't be able to receive the TAC SMS after you switch telco via MNP.

Oh really! And I thought everything will be settled at the telco's end. Thanks for correcting & for the info lol thumbup.gif

But if we keep the same number, then there's no need to update the bank right? Cause the TAC SMS will be sent to the same number......?

Been with them since 2005 as prepaid , and then 2007 changed to postpaid. Service is going down hill , they use to be good , but now lots of drop calls , Internet connection is unstable (you used to get 10Mbps on 3G , but now it is like 1Mbps and sometimes its like 400-500Kbps). Things have just gone bad

I thought it was my phone , changed phone as well and it's still downwards.

End of this month , I'll be porting out

I see, dropped call as it was cut off in mid-conversation? I thought it will auto cut off after 90min of calling.

It's suck as well for not able to change plan from #Hotlink to old Hotlink plan. As validity 90/365 can only be subscribed by Old Hotlink plan only. We can't even chooses which plan we want when port into Maxis.

Some of us wants the validity now than the free basic internet.

Thanks for sharing notworthy.gif

All Mobile Internet data plan 1GB and above can get LTE coverage dy at covered areas under Maxis.

Check http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_sp-5364.php ,which Xperia SP Model are you using? C5303 or C5306? Because Maxis only supports LTE on 1800 & 2600 frequency but C5306 model don't have these frequency.

Are you using Micro SIM card or you cut the old SIM card? Old SIM card cannot get LTE coverage, must use new SIM card like the Micro or Nano SIM card nod.gif
