for alexi sexy goodness[don't puke boys, this is the fangirl speaking]
buy hatebreeder, and follow the reaper. hatebreeder sounds diff from follow the reaper, so buy both so then u'll know if u prefer cob more melodic sounding, or more power metal-ish |

QUOTE(Abangpedro @ Mar 24 2006, 06:25 AM) I think i mention this band before they play Folk/Polka Metal I might give Finntroll a try. Do you think they're suitable for an Ensiferum fan like me? @euronymous - I don't know all the bands either, but I got to know them from chats with Yanks and Aussies. Lots of crazy stuff you can learn from other people that aren't into Hitz.fm and MTV. |

QUOTE(Wolfgard @ Mar 20 2006, 03:26 AM) Well, death metal songs usually have some theme/narrative (usually death/gloom related, but not too depressing or it'll become doom metal), heavy riffing and the death grunt/growl. The 'cookie monster' sound is the death grunt or growl common in the genre. Some bands do it heavily, some not so. Alrite thanks |

QUOTE(Teong85 @ Mar 28 2006, 03:35 AM) Is there really no one into symphonic metal or gothic metal ? I'm started to listen doom metal, any band recommend ?? I do listen to symphonic metal (Nightwish, Therion, Kamelot, Rhapsody to name a few) and Goth metal (Lacuna Coil). But I still prefer power/epic metal songs like those from Blind Guardian or Virgin Steele compared to pure symphonic because they're faster and more 'trashy'. Oh yeah, if you're into symphonic metal, give the Trans Siberian Ochestra a try. Interesting stuff imo.As for Doom metal, the only band that I listen to is Cathedral. But only casually since I'm not a big fan of the genre. |
