Yup, it wld be...if yu can obtain the ...w/40 grade type since most BLM/FL owners hv found this grade most suitable.

I was using the 5w/50 Mobil 1 for my old ride. Very smooth quiet engine still with great compression after almost 20yrs!! And almost 300k Km on the clock!

If we go acc2 rec in User Manual, that grade still fits present BLM requirements too.

Nope. Nvr. Cos such brand not easily available arnd here...
Buying via Online not gud idea cos heavy item, etc.

I've oledi got 2x4L Castrol Magnatec & 1x4L Mobil 1 for future use! In the meantime, services @Proton CS use their Petronas Syn 800 semi while under warranty.

Huh...my mechanic told me not to use Castrol Magnatec. will cause serious injury to our cars. not a techy so couldn't get much information

why would castrol cause serious injury..lol
i would say any oil would be ok for the car except for fake oil/ used oil

hi.. just wana check someone here said SC uses up all 4litre?

when i went to service, i asked them to use Syntium 800 SM 10W/40, but later im not sure if they used it also coz they did not give me the balance oil.....
is this common? is there any way to check if they really used semi-synthetic as i requested and nor the normal one? also is SC reliable? haha.... just asking coz who knows what they do as they dun allow u into the workshop!

SC @near my place uses same Petronas Syn 800. Not all oil is used. Saw mech open seal of new "bottle"!! SC kept bal of oil. Cust here free 2move arnd wkshop.
Me din ask back cos new car not need top-up wan. This way SC ppl happy & me happy cos when go back nxt service they'll b happy 2C me cos no "bad" memories...haha!

they sure will use semi-synthetic cuz it's the only oil that suits the car...it's also the normal oil for other car
some SC pour all 4L ...some pour 3.6L...u check the engine oil there
if over needle is 4L...around the needle is around 3.6L
i dn't know your SC...my SC, they let us go to the back and see
cuz it's your car...u have the right to look
plus sitting at the front waiting is really boring

As i know, BLM almost use 4Liters of engine oil. Because mine using 4 Liters ngam ngam only.

Yup, the pan is larger compare to others car...i also use 4L, ngam ngam reach max.

how much would it costs? some say 250 n 1300

Keramat, puchong, damansara allowed u to bring ur own oil + not void warranty

Finished my 1st service..using Petronas Syntium 800. Then went to highway and break the engine.
Running at 80km/s at first and the noise from the engine and the tyre is heard.. till 120 and i felt the steering was light. Have to hold it tight as turn little bit to left or right and the car will response sensitively. Then the sound from the engine, wind and tyre are damm noisy. I had asked my coll bout her car.. she said it is not that noisy as she did travelled at 120km and the noise is still acceptable.Hmm..at 120km really noise..
btw.. trying on the Petronas 95 primax, pumped in RM50 on last Sat till today still got 2 boxes indicated at the meter, but my meter only shows 146km only.. this real petrol sucker.

bro u go at 120 it will consume more fuel,and my car also 120 it is abit noisy but still acceptable for better fc u need to wait after 5k service and also change to lighter engine oil.My car auto Rm30 can get around 160km speed abit lah.

I'm using 10-40W now.. and running at 120km is only for less than 10 min.Mine at 120km is very noisy

noisy is because of the engine oil. u should try lighter oil since ur car is new.. but the problem is.. proton service interval is 5000km compared to toyota , perodua which is 8000 - 10000km.
