Received a sms from brighstar that my bb is ready today, kudos to pj brighstar for 1 week turn around time, was given a new bold 9900.

Had a problem with the loudspeaker cracking sound, spacebar and end button membrane showing signs of high usage, and charging contacts on dock miss and hit, glad to say bb really took alot of beating and heavy usage and holds up to its quality build.

Very big fan of bb and long long user, thank you brighstar and rim, can't wait for bb10 n-series!

Unfortunately the warranty for this new unit continues on my previous bold purchased date, not from today.

Staffs at pj are professional and polite, fast too and u can avoid paying for parking under 15mins at wisma kemajuan

damn, my phone diving into toilet. after put into the rice, the screen went dark but i can still receive bbm/call. do you think they will realized it was under water even i put it into rice?

sorry to bump up an old thread, just curious as to the warranty claim period.

My curve 9360 trackpad isn't working. I'm from kuching, and i called brightstar and they said if hardwarre need to send to KL which can take up to a month. Can i know if the period is normally just 2 weeks or really a month? and will it be faster if i send it to brightstar centre in KL (since i travel frequently there)?

it takes 3-4 weeks . haha , better go to normal shop la . 30 minutes can fix oledi

really? but then it will void my warranty i'm planning to sell it after fixing. i called the kuching centre again, they said if i send direct to KL centre faster than send to Kuching centre.. hmm.. any way to fix it in shop and make it look like never been tampered?

hahaha , use hairdryer and cabut warranty sticker with care . after you fix the trackpad then put back warranty sticker

on one of my screws got a blue plastic plug, i think thats what makes warranty void? haha

Ha ha... u got it posted in garage sales... so anybody buying will get the the toilet bb...

haha it went back to working again after i cleaned the grime off the trackpad sides

Hi guys I'm using BB 9790 and I'm having issue with
the internal speaker I can't hear the sound when ppl
call me and I need to turn the loudspeaker on or used
headset. I'm still under brightstar wrrnty so as I'm reading the post should I send my bb to PJ or the one in KL to check, btw both location is near to me.
Pls help, and really would take 1 month to repair??? Sighhh

yup. mostly take 1 mth. but u can borrow a temporory bb from them with some charges.

if go to kl branch, find the most senang one to serve u. so they wont ask so manything.
i went there empty handed without receipt n warranty card last time.

got one awek went to the busiers counter, kena ask this n that n she need to come back for 2nd trip.
