well that is what u guys said before the game, to eat our own shit when we said 3-0
now let see the other prediction true or not smile.gif
*
well, it is a prediction. it can either go right or wrong. like playing lottery.

QUOTE(BoltonMan @ Mar 7 2011, 10:13 AM)
thats why last time other rivals fan said how can united top the table with weakest midfield among the top 6 ... and the last 2 matches show it ...

the end of united title challenge i will say ... gunners will overtake them after they meet in emirates ...

still ... a good season for them ...

Added on March 7, 2011, 10:15 am

the point is the midfielders are crap besides nani.

giggs and scholes are old they can only play certain matches ...
*
well against chelsea the midfield was superb except for the 2nd half. our midfield not up to their standard. we can see that. the reason why we top the table is because of consistency of winning although we've won matches with ugly style plus with other title rivals suffering off form and dropping points but consistency bound to end somewhere, sometime. we all know winning the league crown would have to be the mix of many factors.

but the title race is still far from over. still 9 matches to go so anything can happen for both us and Arsenal. we still don't know the outcome of future matches let alone match at emirates. who would have thought Arsenal will challenge for title this season, Chelsea would crumble, the rise of Spurs and Man City, Man Utd playing ugly to win and Liverpool suffered a downfall. we just never know. kudos to the ones who can predict the scoreline correctly and the future, i know i can't.

In fact, United has not been exceptional at all this season..their performance on away turf was nothing but average..The reason why they still seat nicely on the top of the table is because NONE of the rest take fully advantage on their blip..credit still given where it's due, despite not being the best..They are still better than the rest in term of consistency and resilient..
*
i disagree.

away performance is shite, not just average, im being very frank. For a club challenging for title, there is no way you are allowed to have such performance and like u said the only reason we get away with it is because other team have their own crisis. A league winner should be going to other stadiums and still dominate like we used to during the early 2000s and the more recent 3 seasons, and to some extend last season as well. we won 11 times away at home last season, and we still lose out on first place. in 2008-2009, we won 13 away games. Now we only have 4! win the remaining away games (and yes, even Emirates game) and we only have a measly 8 wins away.

we used to boast, amidst the away draws, that we are unbeaten and will somehow avoid a lose. It doesnt look so cheery now isnt it? For me now, what done is done. What we have to do now is to win the remaining matches. Before this everyone was saying "Oh Arsenal win all their remaining games and they will be champion". Well, isnt the same case apply to United? rolleyes.gif Heck we dont even have to win all, a draw at Emirates and win remaining matches would be just enough.

That said the main games will be away games, no doubt. No more slip ups please. our maximum points will be 87 now. SAF's target is 85. This reflects on how bad the away games have been for us.

Anyway I admit except for Berbatov and Brown, maybe Smalling, most of our players didn't played well. I hope this will be the wake up call for our player. It's the same like last season. Hope everything will go well. I think we didn't reach our peak at all this season, and I don't think we will if this continue, but I hope at least this defeat will knock some sense in our player to step up their game.

re : MU midfield so poor yet they are sitting at the top of the table so is their midfield really poor thingy

i think it's more of the case of overall improvement of the clubs in BPL rather than the saying above. any team, and i mean any team on their day can beat any other team in BPL this season. and "their day" for so-called smaller club happened quite often this season hence the open title race between (at least) MU and Arsenal even though both teams f*cked up quite a few times already this season

great analysis there. truth be told, we lost that fear factor we used to have. last time other teams apart from our main rivals used to fear us which gave us advantage for both home and away match but this time it is like "it's United, we can win this, they're not the same anymore". at the moment no teams afraid of us anymore and dare to take the game to us.

but this season is far from over. still SAF and players have to brainstorm on how to win the rest of the fixtures which possible upset by Arsenal and Chelsea waiting. this coming FA Cup against Arsenal would prove vital for our title challenge. we need to win not just to raise players confidence but also to deliver that much neede psychological blow on Arsenal players. currently i have to admit Arsenal is in their form of a lifetime. but that is not the excuse for us to lose against them.

I can say that our midfield lacks energy, youth energy. Once our wingers stopped (or destroyed) we can't really attack through the middle. We lack players with direct runs and all.

And I heard the latest player linked to our club is Javier Pastore. What kind of player he is? I didn't watch Serie A that much. To 'tactical' to my liking

I've never seen him play much also, only sometimes when I turn to supersport and palermo playing..but he's a huge lad and plays off the main striker, can score and assist..that's all i know smile.gif

believe me, we are not. this Arsenal team is still far from "form of a lifetime". look no further than 2 matches out of our final 3 matches recently for evidences.

and to make thing more interesting both teams had their fate in their own hand i.e. win all the remaining matches and the title will be won and both teams had their own advantage going into the final push for the title race. make for 1 hell of a ride I'd say. and i for one will savor every moment of it

I guess that tackle Rafael made will be highlighted all week. Already being commented on and replayed twice in MOTD. They played once on Carragher's though.

What irked me the most about Carra's tackle is that he doesn't have to make it, they're leading the game, Nani was far away from goal and I just don't know what Carra was thinking when he makes the challenge. Just pure attempt to hurt a player I guess, but at least he apologized.

yeah. tired? maybe too. we did try to attack through the middle when Rooney dropped deep and Nani and Giggs drifted center but most of our attacks started on the flank which we always see Liverpool players doubling on Nani and Giggs.

Pastore eh? a playmaker type. more like Kaka type of player. possess good pass and vision. but still too early to judge but he certainly will be a world beater if play under a good manager who can bring out the best in him.

yeah. i know Arsenal have their own stuttered moments but by form of a lifetime i mean that Arsenal players have started to mature than last season. there surely going to be hiccups but they are more better than last season.
