guys... how do you make a 2MB JPEG file become 3mb, or more?

going to submit my photos to a magazine but just realised all my files are bordering 2mb. some of my good shots are less than 2mb! cry.gif

oh man i wish i had more than 10 megapixels now D:
*
where's your original photo? what setting did u shoot at? RAW? X-Fine?

normally upsized photos will not be accepted as it will lose a lot of details. did they mention that it has to be larger than 3Mb? why not just send in your pics and see how it goes.

Buy star filter then. Check yr 1855 lens, I think its 49mm. Or maybe 55mm

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&hl=star+filter <<This is not the best one, I just randomly take one to show you the price of star filter.

Thanks for your fast respond.. I did hold them at Sony Centre. A33 is the best feel for me. But it is slightly more expensive than NEX-3 and A390. A390 is the cheapest but I saw many review rated the image quality even worst than NEX-3( Is this true)?. I like NEX-3 because it is light to bring along for traveling. Very confusing:)
*
Hi,if the A33 is best feel for you, then just buy it.If over budget abit, then save a little bit more, don't regret after buying in rush. A33 I think the size is abit smaller than A390,but larger than NEX3,but you get better battery life than NEX and more comfortable grip,so you judge by yourself biggrin.gif If comparing the 3,I would go for A33 biggrin.gif

photoshop enlarge?? it lose some details, but if really a good pic, why don't just submit it?

The editor wants more than a 2mb file.

QUOTE(puppydogpoo @ Mar 5 2011, 05:46 PM)
Did you try re-saving the same photo at the highest quality using Photoshop? biggrin.gif

My original is around 2mb. But some can reach 4mb. Weird. hmm.gif I shoot at fine though.

They mentioned it has to be at least 2mb. grumble.gif

A33 indeed over my budget. My budget around RM2300 if possible. But if bopian, than have to top up. I like A390 only because it suites my requirement and most value for $$. Only worry regret after some days:)

@toktok
if you're don't mind of electronic view finder, obviously CMOS sensor giving a better low-light performance, which is crucial.. A33 still in your budget wat..
from 1st page:
Sony A33 + 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 DT SAM = RM21xx
addon:
camera just a tools.. the eye behind the camera is the culprit smile.gif
with better tools, it get the job done faster

Hmmm.. I haven't seen anyone selling the sp60 before. Is the sp90 suitable for portrait shots? Should be alright right? if get the sp90, 50mmf1.8 would be useless? hmm.gif
*
SP90 can be portrait and bokeh is perfect for me. I like to use my sp90 to shoot portrait.

Really, like most of them said, it's the photographer who makes the photo stand out, not the camera! When your photos can give out mood and portray emotion, even when using a modest pns camera then your skills will be at a certain level d!

I use a modest a350 but i still manage to take good pics! But I do wish you invest a little bit more in a33. Just save a lil bit more! You won't regret it =) iso perfomance of a33 is better than a390, easier for you when shooting in low light =]

Ya...I m using a33, it work well for me, damn like it. I feel regret after few days why don't I buy canon n nikon instead of sony, bt nw I m fully satisfied wif my a33. Some more two lens in a price.
Buying 2k for a old technology rather ,spend 2k for sony to get a newer technology...although it not perfect but still consider very good d...haha

Hmm. I've asked the fella. You can scroll down and see. He says the thickness and quality same as pro1d. But its too cheap. Too good to be true. I only can take risk since i'll ask for postage. No time to go to his shop to check. How? hmm.gif

If you have time to go do this kind of stuff, why don't you just pay more to get a CPL from a well known brand and it'll save you some trouble thumbup.gif

thickness is only part of the so called "quality" factor. what about the light transmissivity (ability of the glass to allow as much light to pass through as possible)? how about tint? does the glass have any undesirable tint? inferior glass is known to have bad tinting. another important factor is flare suppressing. good filters have good coating on top of the glass to minimize flaring which affects the image badly. another point to consider is the ease of cleaning. certain manufacturers includes a top coating layer to makes the filter easier to clean once it gets smudged with grease or oil (which it eventually will). you will be surprised to know that the original Hoya Pro1D (which this guy says has the same "quality") actually is one of the most difficult and annoying to wipe clean amongst all the top brands. I know because I had used it before.
