I don't even have to actively browse, just turn on HSDPA data connection and use sparingly for twitter/foursquare updates and I would lose 30% in 2 hours. The best I ever had is to have 20% remaining after about 8 hours, by leaving it idle most of the time.

So I resort to use EDGE when I ain't downloading/tethering. That gives me 70% or more remaining power till the end of the day. Excellent battery life.

are you using the version which is meant for snapdragon? working fine here with the one for galaxy s nicer than asphalt lol

If the browser in 2.3.2 is the only thing which is great, why not just update stock froyo browser? Can someone post that apk? Thanks

the simplest way to get CWM is to flash speedmod, get the .tar/odin version, since you dont have CWM,

Better experience in what way? Besides having embedded flash.

Yup, flashing speedmod is the best. Can get 2e recovery and speedier phone. Kills two birds with one stone.

I don't know why that thread says unroot is for eclair only. I have looked into the zip file and it should work with froyo too. I have now only modified it a bit so that it'll will go one step further for even complete unroot by deleting /system/bin/su symlink as well. I've tested this yesterday. Unfortunately, got blackout so the file stuck in my desktop.

A. Unroot
1. Download the file  unroot.zip ( 160.1k ) Number of downloads: 272
and copy to your sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery mode
3. Select install zip from sdcard
4. Select choose zip from sdcard
5. Scroll down till you found the unroot.zip file.

B. Re-root
1. If you have speedmod kernel, go to the recovery mode
2. Select advanced SpeedMod ULK features
3. Select ROOT / Install Superuser
4. Select "Simple: Install busybox+su"
5. Reboot.

Your /system will be readonly by default. To make it readwrite, Click on rw button in RootExplorer or using terminal emulator,


or simply use z4root or superoneclick

Ipad2 has no magnetometer, no compass, degraded experience for using google maps and navigation. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i don't think i wanna use it as my navigator. i have my SGS to do that (ok, please laugh out loud now)
actually one thing is what making me think that Ipad 2 the best tablet: Third-party Apps. that's all. Moto Xoom is the best spec-wise.
