It means the purchase has to be in 1g, 2g, 3g,...300g etc (whole number) not 1.34g/2.59g/3.67g/300.45g etc. biggrin.gif

how many grams u bought and in what price?
*
I bought 20 grams @ RM174.60 oh. quite high eh?

serious about correction to $1600-ish per ounce? i wonder is it true what the analysts say about gold will rise to $2000 by year end?

how does gold relate to the stock market? Is it that those people sell off their gold to buy stock and then the price will go up?

Like I said, I still have a lot to learn.. Hmm..

Gold investment is not for short term gains. Look to the future. Gold will rise but maybe it might hit rock bottom before that but 20g is nothing much to gain or lose. So dont worry. Sit back and just observe.

That is true. One more thing I have been struggling to answer myself is that should I withdraw the money and buy physical gold instead? A friend of mine told me that getting physical gold is more profitable. How true is that compared to paper golds?

I wonder how to see if the price already at rock bottom? For the price of gold as of now, is it $1600 a rock bottom price? I think I should reserve some money to buy more if it hits $1600 per oz. But the problem is, not much cash flow already. cry.gif

Hi, I am a student from a university. I have saved some money. Thinking of buying gold as my first investment. Hoping I could get several important advices & experiences here. I did some researches, I know US economy may collapse to worst soon. So, gold would be what people looking for as a valuable property at that moment. It will shoot up fast. I guess.
1) Which bank actually gives better offers?

Tq, big bro & bog sis.

Maybe i open with MBB since i have MBB savings acc and MBB is one of the nearest bank that i can find in my place. So, I'm gonna start small. I hope the gold price will go down to as what i spotted (sorry guys). Then immediately i will open an account. and after that i will increase the amount of gold in my account from time to time. I hope i can join you guys soon, btw this is gonna be my first investment smile.gif

Honestly IMHO if u r starting small there's not much need for you to wait for gold price to rock bottom.. Long term gold will be on the rise but the thing that you won't know is when the gold rock bottom. If u go for may bank open up a 10g account, price different is rm170/g.. Max u lose up is ard +-RM100 when gold bottom but again, you won't know when is it rock bottom. Mayb next week the price will raise till 180? rclxm9.gif

Customer is required to maintain either a savings account or current account prior to opening a GIA to facilitate the debiting of service fee, if any.
