Even if they don't provide installation, I'm sure they can give contact number because normally the contractor will leave then contact number. smile.gif

Have anyone use the tile reform (美缝剂) for grout sealant? It's very common in china because it is water repellant and fungus proof. Can match color with your tiles too. Not sure how to request this from my contractor haha

This is just like silicone product meant for wet area. it is stated to be anti-fungus and of course it is water proof as well. Nothing magic to it.

Some complained that is get dark in color. I guess it is just cheap fake product.

Colored grout is different . Normal grouting material is like white cement. There are colored type other than common white but it is not silicone that I mentioned.

That looks like just hardened splashed cement. I think you can just scrape it out using flat screw drive tips. smile.gif

Wah! Looks look at very detail biggrin.gif

Hi

I have a question. Dont know if this is even logical or possible.

If existing bathroom tiles are still in good condition but i want to replace them because want to change color / type, is it advisable to hack the existing tiles first or can straight install new tiles on it?

It's possible to install tile on top of another tile. There's tile adhesive sold in the market by different brand that are fomulated to do so.

But, your bathroom will be smaller. Furthermore, you are not sure if your existing tile can withstand the additional stress. It's recommended to do the proper way which is to remove, waterproof and install.

Take Q.V.RK advise. The adhesive or epoxy can surely hold the tile on top of other tiles securely if it is done properly. The surface of existing tile has to be thoroughly clean, otherwise it is possible that it will get de-laminated.

Removing old tile is easy with proper tool but then it is only thin layer if wall being hack off. Therefore, if new tile is not done properly also can cause the tile to fall off. However, I'll still go with removing old tile. If not the edge of tile like near the door will look thick and not nice I guess.

Since you intend to change, then hack and redo waterproofing together, if is a highrise or on 1st floor terrace. You dont want a leaking problem later and need to redo waterproofing.

I am currently looking at Feruni large-tiles format (size 900x1800mm)

1) Feruni says they do tile installation (not building the concert table top, but just install). Anyone has used/done this before ?

2) How is Feruni's quality ? I am more familier with Guocera & MML.
