So sorry to hear your bad experience with them. normally they should have issued
a DO, delivery order for your signature to confirm every tiles you received are in
good conditions, don't they?
*
They do. DO is more of for goods receivable in right quantity than it being in good condition.
I'm not sure if you've carried the tiles that's weighs at least 3-5kg per piece which means per carton is around 25kg. To check through like each and every single carton that weighs that much is not feasible at all.

No need to be each. Just cut the box all corner and check. The corners usually broken or at least if you see the corner of the box looks like it was heavily hit, then you can confirm by opening the box.

Lesson learned I guess. But in all, wanted to express great dissatisfaction towards Super Ceramic Bukit Puchong for all the trouble they gave us and miscalculating all the tiles. But there are tiles with defects in the middle, that’s not low grade tiles cos we were told that they’re good quality for the price we paid.

I didn’t have that issue with the other tiles that I bought elsewhere, everything in good shape and all the tiles quantity were correct.

We bought the kitchen tiles and living/dining hall tiles from them but the tiles were in terrible condition.
The sales person did not counted the tiles properly and we had to at least make 3 trips again.
Almost 20 pcs of the kitchen tiles were broken. Went there and the sales person agreed to replace.
and almost 10pcs of the living hall tiles were broken. Had to go there again but the sales person said they will only replace half.

They also claimed that if the tiles are chipped off on the side that's not their problem. Bad attitude.

There's some defect on the kitchen wall tiles as well, this is supposed to be a good grade tile and not those leftover stocks.

Conclusion, waste of time and don't recommend going there.

tip1
if delivery, upon unloading check if the tiles is broken. ( simply shake the carton if got sound means broken )

tip2
if self collect, same method, and also check if 4sides of the edges is still in good condition ( the plastic corner protector )

Nope, tiles i buy my own.

Assuming that it cost RM7 per piece of 30cm x 60cm (2x1), I may need to purchase around 275 pieces of tiles for 550sqft.

Refuzed,

Generally for tiling works, the labour cost is RM4-5/sqft for 2x1 Tiles.
In your case, 3k is pretty reasonable given its inclusive of cement, sand etc.
This is assuming there is no existing tiles to be removed or any ground plane adjustment works.
Check for their previous works, to ensure quality.

As for tiles, we normally use White Horse 2x1 for porch its between RM5 to RM5.50 here in Seremban.
It can vary a bit depending on location and stock availability. At times, cheaper tiles could be due to stock clearance or 2nd Grade (minor sizing problems)
Also, you may need about 10-15% added to 275 pieces. This is for side skirting and adjustments.

Hi all,

My maid wrongly used goodmaid on my tiles, now it is showing white spots.

I have tried using baking soda and vinegar but no use. Worst still the surface showing white spots with rougher than normal surface.

Anyone has any suggestion to fix this ? Of course no replacement of tiles for now.

its called etching. yes it can be restored but the cost is higher than replacement. please do not use high alkaline or acidic chemicals... it will worsen the problem.
you've got 2 choices - replace or restore.

please visit www.fb.com/brightquantico.com for my past projects.

I; in the midst of doing renovation and the contractor recommended GUOCERA tiles...

1) Is this brand GUOCERA recommeneded for use? (I've asked different contractrators' opinion and some said to avoid this brand and to go for white horse, some said its fine to go with GUOCERA)

2) Any issues with this tiles brand?

Thanks for sharing.
