Affecting in what way. New house should be fix by contractor right? So, it's their problem, right? Anyway, I don't see why it can affect adjacent tiles.

Yea, is the contractor fix for me..

My old house, i fixed spoilt tiles it will weaken the neighbouring tiles, and few months later the neighbouring tiles also spoil...
But that is old tiles lah... I don't know these new tiles how it will react...

My hollow tiles the hollow part only like 10% hollow, so i don't know if it worth the trouble to change them..

You guys know whether hollow tiles will spread out or get worse over time?

It will not affect. The problem is the tile is normally fix using normal cement. When the use hammer to remove the damaged tile, the knocking vibration will weaken or delaminate the neighboring tiles. Nowadays, special mix mortar (cement) for tile placement with adhesive that hold tiles better is more common and cheap. You can just do it yourself easily. Can buy tile mortar in small box like Pye brand from most DIY shop. You can you tube how to replace broken tiles. My bathroom tile just glued on top of other tiles to create an elevation tile high only so that I can prevent water from shower to wet flooring at sink side. It is still stick fine after 10 year already I believe. smile.gif

Hi everyone. I've recently had problems with my apartment floor. There seems to be air trapped between the cement and tiles - causing it to bulge up and it makes squeaky sounds when I walk on them. The affected area is about 300 square feet and I was wondering if anyone knows of a reasonably priced contractor who is able to fix this? It will need hacking, redoing of the cement and new tiles. My neighbour on the same floor had the same problem but she caught it within the developer's warranty period. Lucky her!

Hi I have the same problem. Would like to know if you have found the right contractor to solve this. Do you mind to share his contact? Thanks

Don't buy your stuffs from the bukit puchong outlet, bad reviews on Google and experience that myself that they shipped a lot of broken tiles.

We bought the kitchen tiles and living/dining hall tiles from them but the tiles were in terrible condition.
The sales person did not counted the tiles properly and we had to at least make 3 trips again.
Almost 20 pcs of the kitchen tiles were broken. Went there and the sales person agreed to replace.
and almost 10pcs of the living hall tiles were broken. Had to go there again but the sales person said they will only replace half.

They also claimed that if the tiles are chipped off on the side that's not their problem. Bad attitude.

There's some defect on the kitchen wall tiles as well, this is supposed to be a good grade tile and not those leftover stocks.

Conclusion, waste of time and don't recommend going there.

How to check the tiles at the shop?
You only get to see the samples in the showroom, the rest are all behind their warehouse that they will agree to send later when you buy up to certain amount.
Then when they send the tiles, those workers said that they're not responsible and that's what they got from the warehouse. Then they will tell you to go back to the warehouse and make the claims on your own. We wouldn't know the condition of the tiles until the contractor open box by box. And there's so many tiles, each tiles weigh at least 3-5kg in weight.

I've bought tiles in other shops before but only this Super Ceramic Bukit Puchong is horrible.

yea and by looking at the package, they simply store the tiles also.
The others that we bought elsewhere, the package are all in good shape.

Should hv seen Google reviews before heading to that place.

So sorry to hear your bad experience with them. normally they should have issued
a DO, delivery order for your signature to confirm every tiles you received are in
good conditions, don't they?

Yes. Once delivered, you should sign the DO to acknowledge receipt but before signing, you can check the condition first. This way cannot accuse that the damage was dome by you and they have to replace all the damaged one, not half smile.gif
