Unless you will have concrete base or it will be a concrete top, you should tile the entire area. Bare cement floor sips water and evaporates when saturate. You will have problems when it vapor traps under your wood cabinet.

the material ( cement, adhesive & latex ) may not enough and the proportion does not correct, normally tiler recommend 1bag cement(50kg) :  1 bag adhesive (20kg)

my recent renovation consume 45bag cement +  45 bag adhesive + 2x 20L latex, for total area of wall & floor about 1800 sq ft

Hi, sifu, I was informed by one supplier that we should use 100% cement gum (I thought this one refers to adhesive cement) and zero % normal cement in tiling for China produced tiles. He commented China's produced tiles consist of closely bind tiny poses in the tiles. This will cause poor absorption of water vapour by the tiles themselves. Over time, the tiles will debond if the cement gum is insufficient.

Is this proportion (100% cement gum and 0%normal cement) will be a better mix to prevent the tiles being pop out in the future?

Any comments from any sifus here?

Expert advise needed, As my Tiles on Living Hall contained stain as per attached photo, any ideal how to remove those stains.

Hi,

Yes, the stains can be removed either by DEEP CLEANING using chemical and scrubbing machine or RESURFACING with diamond grinding pad and then polishing with BQ Nano. The price ranges from RM2.50 to RM9.00 depending on the severity of the stains. We've been doing it for many years now and we are the handful of company in Malaysia that can do it 'right'. We have many success stories and happy returning customers, feel free to check out our website or FB. and here's a recent one we did for fellow forumer here in LYN. rclxms.gif

Like you, i was also deciding whether to tile the whole kitchen up or do the kitchen cabinet first.
Lastly my decision is to do the kitchen cabinet first, because i am planning to use subway tiles for my backsplash.

If i were to tile my whole kitchen, the alignment of my subway tile will be off from my countertop, if u understand what i mean

Also some ppl say must tile whole kitchen as the moisture will seep behind the cabinet...hmm i dont know about this. But im painting water proofing paint pver my cement wall for the whole of kitchen, so i suppose that will help.

Any other kitchen expert sugguestion?

Bleach or acidic floor cleaners can cause that. Especially cleaners with no experience. To them it's always the more (cleaning solution) the better. the rule of thumb is always wet the floor before applying cleaners. This is something they fail to do and home owners have to pay for their mistake.

Tiles in general are very easy to take care of, compare to natural stones. cheap to buy and install but expensive to restore. Tiles in general are very hard. The hardness is comparable to that of granite. Hence it takes a longer time and more diamond sets to grind off the stains and that leads to higher cost. time is money.

Do whatsapp me the pics of your problem, consultation is free. and so is our DEMO. rclxms.gif

this is not for my home but my office.

i notice the old building tiles hardly has stains.
while the newest build has alot of stains on the yellowish tiles, i heard alot of cost cutting, so i thought cheap tiles stain easier.
