Hello guys, is this a right practice that doing tiling over existing tiles?

My contractor quote me cheap for that kind of work.
I worried later crack happen on the old tile underneath that will impacting my new tile work.

He said he will create holes on the existing tiles, after that pour proofing material, let it dry and only the next day he will lay new tiles.

Your comments are appreciated.

hi, is it advisable to use TILING for exterior of the house?

Usually ppl just use paint for exterior of the house, esp if u paint darker colors, it will fade in less than a year or just a few months.

I was thinking if it is better to use TILING for exterior of house? Maybe a wood pattern tile.

Can tile withstand our SUPER MSIA HEAT AND WEATHER?

Hi anyone can advice on this?
I'm just doing a checking on the house and the house is preinstalled 2'x2' tiles for whole double storey house. So, I check the tile by using a coin and knock on the tile. I found out there are quite a few tiles that has hollow sound beneath. So may I know how big of a hollow area is consider need to be re-tile? A approximate 0.5'x0.5' consider big? Or it is fine for a 2'x2' tiles? I'm worry that in future it will pop out or break.

Please advice and thanks

If your tiles is new should be no problem for few years, but it will pop out after many years. I asked my contractor to changed for me all that with sound when I knock it, change it first so not make troble when staying.

It is a subsale house. Approximately 4-5 years old. Since it is now still empty and I planned to renovate, which is why I'm asking here whether the hollow tile size is acceptable? If it is not then I have to allocate budget for retiling as well.

Hi All, quick question, my house floor gloss porcelain tile (guocera brand) has stains (black marks, coffee color stain, yellow color stain) that can't be remove with floor cleaners.

Do any of you have such experience on how to remove those stains?

Thanks.
