depends on how much work he doing for you.

1. ground prep
2. waterproof for drain so water dun seep under the drain cement to erode the ground and tiles above
3. drain is tiles type or cement type

etc etc.
depends on their quality bro.
i like bigger.
*
the contractor did all the ground prep (i hope he did sweat.gif )

regarding the waterproof for drain, can you please explain a lil?
For the drainage he use pipes, pipes are place in the drain and then then covered with cement bits (cements bits come from hacking the curbs of the soil area).
Then cement is use to cover the whole area

Drain is original the cement type but now its underground using pipes

too high.

i was asking about building a cement slab on a grass piece.  price ranges from RM500 to RM3000.  measurement is 5 feet x 5 feet.  finally built at RM500 (exc tiling) but i helped him as well (to throw the rubbish away). 8" deep.

process - dig out the soil. say about 9" deep.
fill with gravel and sand, cement. first layer of cement slab. dry for a few days.
then fill again with gravel and cement. second layer. let it dry.
then only tile on top.
*
the area you did was 5ftx5ft for RM500?

Our area is 22ftx10ft
so it should sums up to around RM4,400
is that reasonable price?

Not so sure the exact process of how he did the cement slab, whether he dig the soil or not....

yes the price quoted to you is on the high side.
half it then more realistic.
half that it is a bargain.

depend which 1. MML got a lot of range of tiles. Get at least homogeneous tiles or porcelain better, for high strength & durability type.
