I am a bad example to follow. I am a gadget freak. It is my hobby - a very expensive hobby. I buy stuffs just to play with it and usually won't be long in my hands average 6 months. Those longer than that means I really value it . Those that are not so popular I will buy used sets and these normally I resell it after 1-2 months. My wife has given up nagging me about it.

Normally first priority, I will pass old gadgets down to my children - alas all of them not tech type - usually not taken by them. So I sell it off at usually great loss as just too lazy to nego better price. Normally I sell off at much lower than what I post and the first person who offer me a reasonable price gets it. So far ALL the gads I sell are always tiptop always in 9.99/10 condition just like buying new. I take very good care and the casings especially are higher class type ( RM 150 to RM 200 range). Recently I sold off my ipad 3g 64GB and literally giving away RM 500 of high quality accessories free with it besides losing RM 1500 ( I bought it when it was launch on day one in Australia at a high premium than )
Most of my old stuffs I sell at forum lowyat garage sales, lelong.com and ebay

if you plan to root or flash custom rom, don't get SGS

Why not? Sgs got one of the best support at xda, users are spoil for choice in terms of choices for roms.

Yes, if you flash custom rom, the only problem with SGS one is the temptation of other new phones biggrin.gif

The Nexus S and Nexus One just received a new update right? That's on the advantages of having a Nexus phone.

Right on. The nexus one was also my first android phone. After using it, the iphone3GS than seem so " useless" and unimaginative. It was also way ahead of WM 6.5. Others follow after that - galaxy s, hd2 ( android ), htc desire just a short 2 weeks stint, and dell streak . The nexusone i considered is still the best android phone i have use. At one time nearly bought Nexus S but due to budget constrains, decided to try out a tablet the Galaxy Tab

the Galaxy Tab priced higher than Nexus S! and u'll be one of the earliest to get SGS II ..

and yeah I also considered nexus one as the best android phone I ever use and galaxy S as the worse after xperia x10.

yet i still find out myself here in galaxy S 2 thread.. hopefully no more blackout problem sweat.gif

Yea when i switched from HTC Touch HD to Nexus One i felt that it's a big upgrade. so my N1 was stuck with me until now i started seeing lots of dual core phones out in the market and got poisoned. So i chose samsung and i hope this phone wont disappoint.

Yes, samsung better don't disappoint me too. My first Galaxy S , I proudly unashamedly say it was the worst Android smartphone I have ever use. I always advise guys to stay away from it . Despite my efforts to apply all the lag fixes and most of the cooked roms - it was still poor compared to even the stock NexusOne. I use it only about 30+ days . And one can just forget about using GPS on the galaxy S.
But after using the TAB and viewing all the web videos and reading the reviews/impressions of it I just couldn't resist and is now giving the SGS 2 a second chance

bro why my friend say he flashed to darkyy's 9.2 rom for SGS and he say its blazingly fast? Is he lying to me or what? Cause i ask him briefly about his ownership experience with samsung handphone and that's what he told me.

I'm also really tempted about motorola atrix and the facts on paper says the screen consume 50% less battery and the humongous 1900mah battery really is something to shout about. but the design of sgs 2 just edges it for me.

Or maybe we can wait for Nexus X made by Motorola or LG since these two has not come out with Nexus phone yet. I hope so biggrin.gif Definitely Google will come out with dual core phone for developer. Moreover, Qualcomm in N1, Samsung Hummingbird in NS so left Tegra and TI OMAP.....
