tmr im going to genting... first time driving auto car go up genting.... so which gear should i use when driving up.... and which gear should i switch during driving down ?

last nite, while installing my cold air intake..i found a socket, suspected a foglight socket maybe? mine b line elegance

This should be the fog lamp socket...somehow rather Proton are so good for us to plug and play on the fog lamp without wiring..mine had a pair too  but tested with the older version(non PE) of fog lamp but doesnt work..donno y..maybe have to add on something..

all d way can use D..last month i juz went genting..the power was consider ok..i only know i keep overtake others car when uphill..never fully press the pedal..most only press 1/2 then was enough..

i see... so 2 and 3 and L whats the usage ?

when u put 2,then the gear always at 2nd gear lo..less power loss if uphill..oso can use as engine braking when downhill..but persona auto will hold the gear automatically when uphill..the response quite fast..so u dun need switch to 2 or 3..my one is PE..not sure persona older version same or not..

D also can but you will feel underpower coz the gear always try to shift to the highest.....so you can drop to 3 and 2......for L..you can use it if you climbing very steep slope like the slopes near the temple and after that....otherwise 2 will do....and if possible try to shift and maintain the rpm around 3000-4500/5000rpm if you wan drive faster and power/overtake...good luck...coming down can use 3,2,L for engine braking...

also changed the auto tensioner belt.

Guess what..they pretend that the free gift for the pertronas oil dont exist until i insist on it...

Wanted to use the fully synthetic oil so i can service at next 20k but the SA told me the oil too nipis will rosak engine.Its more for manual.Fully synthetic oil rm190...i felt wanna pengsan loh.

Also i asked,if i wanna change the plugs,he say jangan..coz this denso not approved..but i went to small SC they say can change..HOW?

Aiya saddient.. Easy la.. When going up hill, stick to D. Unless u wanna speed then change to 3 or 2.

2 & L usually used for pickup and engine braking while going downhill. So when u go downhill, leave ur gear at 2 or L depending how slow u wanna go. L being the slowest.

First of all.. I think ur SA dono anything abt cars la.. Fully synthetic more for manual? LoL. What about all the high performance auto cars like BMW, etc? Should they be running on mineral oil, then?

Price of fully synt oil at SC will kill u. Go outside & buy then bring to SC.. Cheaper alot, like 30-40 bucks.

The plugs are wear and tear item. If can they wan u to use all Proton approved parts cos it costs a bomb n they can earn ur money. Won't void warranty wan la. Don't worry. Did my claims already after replacing the plugs and air filter. No fuss.
