Interesting...but there's no wire connected to the seat belt clip in my car. I saw a wire there for my friend's Kenari, I suppose that's why my seatbelt warning light doesn't really function and just goes off after a while when starting the car.

So if you need the seatbelt on for airbag to work, dunno how they sense it.... hmm.gif
*
Some how, there will a mechanism to sense that, whether in the seat belt buckle or in the seat belt housing (inside the B pillar). Else, the system (airbag) will not work as intended.

Yupp..i think so. Most probably the aircond compressor.

Asked this primarily to have an idea if they put more soundproofing in with FL upgrade. Just know that they changed to a six-speed transmission, added some equipment inside and... yeah, the new honeycomb grille.
*
Actually, they (NazaKia) did put more soundproofing material on the new Forte FL. In term of NVH especially the N (Noise), the 1st batch Forte already good at it, & with more soundproofing material now, the Forte FL should get a better noise insulation than the 1st batch Forte

guys, any different in term of accelaration compare forte 4speed and 6speed???
*
By looking at the specifications as mentioned in Paultan automotive blog, i afraid not. The 0-100kph sprint time is still the same (at least for the 2.0 Forte) for both 4-speed & 6-speed Forte. However, the 6-speed Forte will give 10% improvement in FC (as claimed by NazaKia), smooth gear changing & relaxed driving over the 4-speed sibling wink.gif

Well, if you don't know how to maintain a car, give you any car also same.... Useless.....
*
Chill bro..i didn't see any statement from bro sam saying that he doesnt know on how to maintain a car. Sometimes, although we maintaining our car very well, the car still give us lot of troubles..& i believe that's what he meant, since Forte is completely a new car as compared to previous Kia cars & yet to proves itself up on heavy usage (lot of travels as mentioned by him).

Somehow, he just asking for the possibility of getting the 1.6SX Forte with 100% loan..doesn't mean that he cant afford it & be a 'slave' to the bank. It's his money anyway. So be chill bro.. icon_rolleyes.gif

^Well, you are right on this, when :
you are not getting married until after 10 years.
you are not going to buy a house until after 10 years.
you give to your parents rm1 a month.

If you know how to maintain a car and it still gives problems, it means :
your foreman are not good
you know the problem, but you ignore it
you are looking for lame excuse to change car
you have the ego of "people have, I must have"

I got an 8 years Wira and need to overhaul because I ignored the warning by my foreman. But I have a relative that driving his Wira for 16 years but still no problem(only change his air cond compressor that used for 16 years) because he listen to what foreman said.

As said, any annual car installment amount > your 1.5 month salary are too much.
Salary might increase(which a lot of people always says) but you may got -ve increament.
Better keep rm500-1000 cash a month after all expenses for better future planning...
*
Yupp..agree on some of your points. But bro sam also got his point to justify his decision to buy a Forte by his own statements below :

"actually my intention to getting full loan is becoz my car quite old...i need to fork out some cash to cover the outstanding...u know ..old car ..high interest rate...somemore maintain it..the expenses as i summarize i can afford to paying a new car instalment"

It sounds like a fair points to change to a new car (especially on the summary that he has done) with extra comfort, extra safety, extra equipments + hopefully with less maintenance (considering the 5-year warranty for a Forte). Somehow for me, arguing on how others spend their money is a little bit too much..as i said, it is their money anyway icon_rolleyes.gif

wan to ask..do u guys have any idea that if im wanted to get a customize car number plate? i mean for example now is WVB i think..the number i wan to get lets say 616 . do u all know how much for certain number plate ?
*
616..for this type of number, u better place your tender to get it (coz this type of number usually been tendered by someone). The runner also cannot take this number if it has been tendered by somebody else. Last year i tendered Wilayah plate with X6X number for RM600..luckily i won the number. For 616, tendered value of RM600-RM800 should do hopefully. Just pray that no one tendering the same number with higher bid wink.gif

I knew FC could be an issue but bumpy? Mannn...didn't know that... But i'd still prefer the looks of the 17"

Anyone can prove the bumpy ride issue on their 17"?
*
Forte 17" rims use 45 profile tyres, while the 16" rims use 55 profile tyres. Higher profile means higher tyre sidewall that will contribute to more softer ride (with proper tyre pressure)

Salleh, i understand your main point & no doubt it should be like that in the first place. We Fortezens should unite under 1 roof & organizing Mega TT under 1 entity (which is MFC). Actually, by forming other clubs (NRMFC, KPKFOC or whatsoever) that serves the same purpose, just showing to the world that there is no unity among us & might cause confusing. Just imagine that 3 Forte clubs organizing Mega TT at the same date & time (doesnt matter the different location). Does not sounds any unity right? & MFC (or NRMFC, KPKFOC) cant claim that they have organized the biggest Mega TT ever coz the other part of Mega TT are organized by other clubs. This will just trigger confusing especially for media coverage.

So the moral of the story is, please organize this Mega TT II under 1 main recognized entity which is MFC..do i get it right bro Salleh?

any prove to support your claim?  hmm.gif

what we do know they're improving. all management level change bout 80%.
they wanna work close with car club activity, gain feedback from us.

now they're trying to reduce the spare part cost to compete with the market.
hope we could get the good news soon.
*
Agree with u..they did come to our club functions to gain feedbacks from us + also gave us some goodies to bring back. It is so much appreciated i must say.

So please..dont expect that they will become 100% perfect in a single day..but at least they keep improving to serve us & low spare part cost = good for us.

& please..dont blindly accuse without a solid proof..hear say is not one of it..right Taipan? icon_rolleyes.gif

I can assure u that bro SMK's floor mat got no issue whatsoever with the quality. It is measured to perfection to fit our Forte & a bit bigger coverage area than the stock floor mat. & i like the single piece design for a rear floor mat also thumbup.gif

*
1) Press Engine Start/Stop button once to enter ACC mode
2) Then press Engine Start/Stop button for 2nd time for 10 seconds.

The engine should be able to start with this procedure (without pressing the brake paddle)

Still blur?

takde pun... press more than 10 secs? itu bukan bypass... itu alternative way...
bypass ni mcm u bypass sensor putih kat brek tu... so takyah tekan brek, terus tekan je button tu terus start...
mcm kipas radiator la, bila kita bypass, start enjin je terus pusing w/pun enjin tak panas...
sbb dah bypass sensor thermostat tu...
*
Memang takyah tekan brek pun bro tongue.gif can consider that as bypass the brake sensor...no?
