Added on April 27, 2011, 11:31 amIMO, whether it is CKD or CBU..all parts used & manufacturing processes are surely been endorsed by the Peugeot itself. It just that the main purpose for CKDing the car is to obtain cheaper manufacturing & selling cost..right?

If my memory still serves me right, not all Pug under Nasim are CKD (ie 207, 308, 407 are CKD Pug), some of the CBU Pug models under it stable are 3008 & 5008. & as far as 308THP, 3008 & 5008 are concern, all used the same engine regardless CKD/CBU status. So in this case, it has nothing to do with the originality

UMW Toyota are not dare enough to publish their vehicles' maintenance cost in the website..maybe have to search for this info from the Vios owner him/herself. Though my father owned the new Vios, but the car just finished its 2nd service (low mileage for a 1 year old car), so need to find another Vios for comprehensive data gathering.

Bro..AFAIK, engine knocking doesnt mean that the engine going to rosak already. Engine knocking sometime can be caused by fuel (i mean, refueling with a bad batch of fuel)..in this case, it can be solved by as easy as changing the fuel brand/station or perhaps use a higher RON fuel. Beside a bad batch of fuel, actually several factors contributed to engine knocking including higher compression (due to carbon build up inside the engine) that makes the fuel ignite prematurely (hence the knocking). In this case, using an effective engine cleaner might do to remove the carbon deposits inside the engine.

As long as u drive your car with precaution (dont over rev) & bring your car to SC for proper diagnose, i can safely say that your engine wont rosak. As i said before, if the culprit (that caused the engine knocking) can be identified, it usually can be solved with relatively ease. Please dont panic up to the extend that u wanna sell your car bro...it's nothing

Yupp..i noticed that also. Just trolling here like bro kyheng said. I dont mind if inspira owner or other car's owner involve in this Forte thread especially if they giving some constructive discussions. This kind of trolling do no good whatsoever but instead introduce provocations.

Anyway, at least our Forte got its own identity & pride but not other car's identity & pride

Nope..u misunderstood my words. I'm talking about the car itself. what i'm trying to say is the car (Forte in this context) is at least got it own design, identity & personality to be pride off regardless the manufacturer or its distributor. Not the cars like Wira or Inspira (sorry to say but it's true) that stole other car's identity (Mitsubishi cars). Anyway, previously i also owned a problematic Wira Aeroback & Waja

P/s: Your phrase "QC is not there" is very misleading (i understand it as no QC at all). every new car will run thru some sort of QC/QA before coming out from the assembly plan & i bet u knew that. But most (if not all) of it still have its own defects regardless any makes. Only the magnitude of the defects that differs among the car makers which conclude to different attention-to-details adopted by each of them.

Did u try to rub it off to see whether is it really a rust on your car's door or some sort of sticky dirt? If it is really a rust, just send your car back to SC for rectification & some corrective paint job if needed
